Giant of the Day

Another archiving of a huge load of giant evidence that I want loaded onto Ghost Hunting Theories for the public to see.

Special guests, workshops, vendors, and loads of outdoor fun. I will move mountains to try and be at this event. It looks like a blast. I wish we had this much fun in the west!

Victorian Era Creepy Photos

Victorian era went nuts with the new technology of photography and especially special effects. For some macabre reason, they enjoyed documenting medical "freaks," costumed people in weird situations, postmortem pictures of their dead, a weird fad of headless photos and supposed ghost pics.

Fallen Angels Prison?

LINK: “(13) And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, (14) Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. (15) And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. (16) And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:13-16)

There is a legend that four fallen angels (four horsemen of the apocalypse) are imprisoned in the Euphrates, some say under Haditha Dam and that guards have gone mad watching them.

Giant of the Day

Another in a large collection of evidence I am documenting for Ghost Hunting Theories archives.

What is Heaven Like?

"I was in a Fiord, near the water. My family was there, and Tante Wahlborg! There were colors that don't exist and flowers that don't exist. (sigh) That was the real world. This one is fake!"

(my father in 1979 following his 4-minute death and resuscitation)

Dynamic Greenland's Mysteries

Greenland, a relatively inhospitable location that even Vikings weren't sure about remaining in, is a geological wonder and a place of immense beauty and danger. This iceberg got a little too close. One complete break of its fissures and a tidal wave would be the result. Just one of many mysteries and dynamics that make Greenland fascinating.

Giant of the Day

I have thousands of bits of evidence about giants and it's an overwhelming task, but I want them documented, so I will be doing a giant a day hopefully and it may take me years to show them all at that rate. If you want more giant info, hit he "giants" tab at the top of the blog.

This one from Lovelock Cave in Nevada was 31" tall. To put that in perspective, I am 5'8" tall and my skull is 10" tall.

Long Island's Mysteries

Long Island is not lacking some seriously, disturbingly delicious legends.

Baffling Stone Spheres Found Around the World!

On an uninhabited inhospitable island in Russian waters only 900 km from the North Pole, are some very strange huge round spheres of stone. Josef Franz Land Island is a very curious place. Eighty five percent of the island is glacial year-round.

Adios Dale the Doll!

In blogging heydays, Dale the Doll became my sidekick by being, well, the thing that most creeped out my readers. Ventriloquist dolls are spooky but giving him a voice and a personality made him a bit of a celeb. Now, I have packed him and his belongings up in a box en route to his new "yuman" (how he says "human").

Let's review the life and times of Dale the Doll....

Haunted Shirley: The Haunted Doll Study Begins

"Happy birthday! Sending you a premature gift" (my birthday is September 17th). And so, on August 25th, a large well-padded box arrived with a wee Shirley Temple doll. She is one of my favorites as a kid with the red curly locks and singing and dancing. But, this Shirley was a few shades of wrong. Let's begin the ongoing study of a supposedly haunted doll sent to me by a beloved and methodical researcher -

Menehune: Hawaii's Little People of Legend

It's interesting to note how native people around the globe have legends of cannibalistic giants and wee folk who come out at night. Hawaii has its own version, the Menehune (men-neh-HOO-nay).

Blog Entry Saturday: Movie Snacks

Everyone has their favorite movies snacks, but sometimes movie time becomes more than just one movie, one box of candy, it becomes a stay-at-home marathon-watching event. Here's some of my favs for those such days -

Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board

A favorite scary slumber party game is "Light As a Feather, Stiff As a Board."

Don Monroe Case Files: The Roofer

Don has been a researcher for as much as six decades. He has honed his skills as a tracker and a hunter, a survivalist, and an observer of nature and its habits and quirks. These skills have kept him alive and able to continue his hungry thirst for knowledge about the world and how it works. Upon occasion, those well-honed instincts get his spidey senses active. "The Roofer" is one such case.

Isolated Hauntings: Investigation Show We Need

We have an option and it's called Isolated Hauntings.

Scary Things in Dark Forests

With autumn marching toward us, it is in the human DNA to begin to imagine such things as twisted trees bared of their falling leaves and forests that take on a dark underworld feel.

But, what is it that we fear in these scary forests? Perhaps, it's just the secrets they keep. Let's see which of these you'd dare to encounter....

This is a guest posting by MK Davis, respected researcher of Bigfoot and ancient studies, as well as video/photographic expert.

Disembodied Voices in Mines

As if imminent danger, utter darkness, and claustrophobia aren't enough, mines appear to be very frequently haunted. Legends from miners show superstition, occurrences blamed on wee folk such as tommyknockers and often heard ghost voices.

Red-Haired Mummies Around the World

Ancient mummies were found with blond hair on Catalina Island and long black hair in other parts of the country, but the red-haired ones piqued curiosity because they were found all over the country and sometimes associated with being, well, generally cranky, giant, and troublesome like the cannabilistic ones in Nevada associated with the Lovelock Cave. Supposedly, samples taken from some in Florida showed them to be of Northern European origin. As a Thorvaldsen of Norway and Eng of Lapland, I suspect my ancestors were all over the place. They have the travel bug. Were they giant? Well, as a 5'8" woman in a family of 5'2" women, perhaps?

Ah, Spirit Halloween shop - the sure sign that we are all anxiously awaiting the cooler, darker, spookier season. I just went through it today and got a look at the trends for 2018 and I was double thumbs up pleased!

Unexplained Cave Creatures

When I started doing some research into ancient giant skeletons found in caves and those who have theories of a hollow earth and societies living deep in the earth through cave systems, I began to have a lot of questions about what else might be happening caves. Then, I started discovering more and more cases of Lizardmen, Bat-women and all kinds of wild beings. Let's cover some of these freaking scary cases -

Horror Director: Craig Michael MacNeill

Today, I'm sharing another upcoming horror movie maker that I think has some serious potential. I saw the movie "The Boy" on TV and I could not leave my seat. Let me explain why I sought out this director to find out his career path.

Strangest Place in the World: Atacama Desert

The Atacama Desert in South America is primarily in Chile. It is the driest desert in the world and has salt lakes, sand, and ancient lava. Rainfall is less than an inch a year. For such a barren place, it has some unusual ancient history and the focus of much mining.

Animal Attack Movies

There are so many sub genres in the horror genre that it can be tough to decide what to watch. Consider a marathon of animal-attack movies. You name the critter, and likely a movie was made. Here's some to consider -

Horror Director: William Brent Bell

Upon occasion I see a horror movie that gives me hope. The hope is that there are developing horror movie directors to keep the genre alive. Any of us in our middle years know that rock music seems to have died. We never imagined that happening. Well, there is a fear that horror movies had their heyday, but no more. Let's talk today about "The Boy" and why the director gives me hope.

Creepy Cemetery Statues

Cemeteries are the most beautiful and peaceful parks and memorials.  A walk among the rows of headstones under the shady trees brings a sense of quiet and introspection. Sometimes, however, cemetery art takes on a sinister tone as weather and aging can make even the happiest sculpture twisted and creepy. Other art, designed to take on gothic and anguished proportions, becomes something quite frightening. Let's look at what can happen to the art when placed in a peaceful cemetery.

Blog Entry Saturday: Kolchak Versus Charlie's Angels

I grew up with two very divergent influences: "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" and "Charlie's Angels." Both exhibited intelligence, diligence, and bravery, but one was a bit bumbling and a loner, the other was a neat sexy glamour team. And somehow, forever, I've been embracing both.

Cursed Locations

Can a location be cursed?

Technically, a curse is a spell put upon a person (or place) to make bad things happen. If a location has a repeatedly dark history, one might make a case that it had been cursed. Cursed by the fates.

Review: Spirit Halloween's New Animatronics

Today, we're looking at some of Spirit Halloween's animatronics offerings.

Can Bigfoot Read Minds?

I was introduced to a research group based on my focus on language/communication and psychic pathways. That's how I started studying the Tall Ones and then quickly went into more arenas like guidelines for habituation and interaction and eventually the search for their ancestors/lineage (Link to those findings).

As I had some time to focus on any signs of psychic skills, I have some input to share here today -

Six-Fingered Giants

Six-fingered giants

Polydactyly is an inherited condition in which a person has extra fingers or toes. It is caused by a dominant allele of a gene. This means it can be passed on by just one parent if they have the disorder.

Roadside Carnival Curiosities

Sideshow "oddities" had real lives and stories behind their oddities. There was a time when seeing something apart from the norm was odd, but today we see in general population from people who wish to set themselves apart -

A Wish For Giants

"A Wish For Giants" is a film that recently caught my eye with a fresh approach to the subject matter.

The Lake That Kills Men

The quiet and beautiful Lake Ronkonkoma in Long Island, New York has long been sought out as a summer getaway from the heat and the city. The lovely lake was formed in a bowl of melting glaciers from 10,000 years ago. It offers beauty and retreat for many.

Blog Entry Saturday: Movies To Inspire Halloween Longing

It's August and by now I'm well and fully one foot into autumn and another foot creeping toward Halloween. I like to have a weekend where I put on the 5 basic horror movies that I love to watch around Halloween time just to hear the music and see some dark and spooky places. Here's what I am darkening my windows to watch this weekend -
