Happy Easter Weekend

Have a lovely weekend, all you inquisitive minds!

Blog Entry Saturday: Do We Haunt Ourselves While Alive?

I asked a friend recently when we were playing 20 questions, "do you ever daydream about an alternate life?"

His answer was simple, "I contemplate if I hadn't taken the course in my life that I chose."

Stalker Between the Worlds: Technology Meets Brute Force

*Warning: Photographs and information in this ongoing series might be upsetting to some readers. Discretion advised.*

This is an ongoing series chronicling a several years' worth of encounters with bizarre, horrific, and taunting interplay between one innocent citizen and a stalker that defies description (at least in our known world).

This was an exceptionally well-documented series of events that may at times be too graphic or horrifying for some readers, but it is our hope that by sharing this experience, someone out there might recognize a set of circumstances that are similar.

We have advice to be given to anyone encountering what I am at a lack of words to accurately describe, so henceforth refer to it as…the stalker between the worlds.

Josh Gates: Legendary Locations

What's not to love about Josh Gates? He's adorable, intelligent, strong, brave, and hilarious. He also doesn't make political stands. He's just old-fashioned fun. Oh, I wish we had less pompous egos and more good fun on TV. Thank you, Travel Channel, for equipping him with a new vehicle to stimulate our minds and our sense of humor.

"Legendary Locations" begins tonight on Travel Channel. Do not miss the fun! We have a new addiction to add to our watching list!

UFO Hunt and Urban Exploration

This past weekend my best friend Julie and I headed out into the desert to the site of a 2012 UFO sighting made by myself and another friend. I've long wondered what it was we encountered and if it might come back. So, we headed out to the area of Mobile, AZ and parked ourselves at the abandoned trailer park site and enjoyed some URBEX photography and then after dark a little UFO watching.

Tesla: Secrets to the Universe

Nikola Tesla uncovered amazing secrets to our universe and how to power our lives, but it's what he left untold that drives many researchers to extremes to learn. One of the greatest gifts he could have given us that would have drastically changed the course of our world is free energy. Many believe that the ancients earned the knowledge of utilizing the earth's qualities to make build civilizations. Let's have a look at an article that may reveal the depth and breadth of his insight into free energy -

Creepy Tiny Houses

As I've been reducing my life down to tiny living size, I've been pondering the creative freedoms that come with it. With less to maintain and less to pay for, one is freed up to go out. As a people who spend a lot of time in virtual worlds of TV and computers, venturing out is much needed. But, for us horror-loving folks, spooky tiny homes hold a special appeal. Here's just some -

Blog Entry Saturday: Plotting Adventures

This weekend my best friend and fellow investigator and author, Julie Ferguson, had plotted out a curious adventure for one evening, a UFO hunt (more on that at the of this post).

Our simple adventure had me thinking about some of the things we've done over our 8-year friendship that were "adventures" in the unexplained, paranormal, and horror.

I highly recommend them, even if it's just an evening or a road trip or an extensive vacation.

Mummies Found!

In a suburb in the capital of Peru, two 1000-year-old mummies were found.  They were found in what was an ancient religious complex and the child was thought to be perhaps buried alive with the dead adult as an offering to the gods. There were also jars with guinea pigs inside and cat designs on the outside.

Evaluating Bigfoot in FLIR Thermal Imaging

It might be time to rethink about how we view FLIR thermal imaging of potential Bigfoot in the field.

What Are Shadow People? The Chilling Possible Explanation

They were given the moniker "shadow people," but that is not exactly how they appear. These beings, usually 3-4 feet tall (sometimes full height or tall), are human shaped and completely utterly devoid of details to be a kind of "black hole" of humanoids. It's what they do and where they are that is scaring people.

In this post, I plan to shatter some of the earlier concepts of what shadow people are and it might just be even more unsettling than popular assumptions....

Newspaper Clippings of Ancient Giants Around the World!

a playful photo

I am intrigued by the dozens and dozens of stories and supposed photographs of giant skulls discovered around the world. The problem is that many photos are hoaxes and the stories are generally not supported by true traceable sources or actual skulls to evaluate. This photo above is an obvious fun play on the theme, but there are photos from publications that reveal skulls that many witnesses report could have been pulled over the their own head like a bucket capacity in size. Let's revisit these -

Sideshow Freak Exhibits of the Victorian Era

Sideshow "freaks" had real lives and stories behind their oddities. There was a time when seeing something apart from the norm was odd, but today we see in general population from people who wish to set themselves apart -

Let's have a look at some famous sideshow subjects of the Victorian Era.

Yowie Reports

''

We call them Yowie, the Bigfoot-like beings of Australia. The Native Aborigines have carried legends of them in their oral traditions. These people were described as hairy, with thick brows, sunken eyes, flat noses, and big lips. Rather reminds me of another South Pacificer -

Today's citizens of the country report encountering them as well. Here are just some reports -

Transient Ghosts

They come and go like it's a bus station.

I hear people often talk about issues with transient hauntings. They might have lived there a long time and never run into problems, then BOOM! Or, they had some haunting problems in the kitchen with a little girl's voice and then later in the bedroom felt a male presence who came and then went after a week's time. The types and locations, as well as time periods shift. Let's look at some possible types and explanations -

The Urban Sasquatch Series Comes To An End

After 3-1/2 years of reporting ongoing studies in a Southern urban park area, the Urban Sasquatch researcher has decided to end studies there and move on to other priorities. He will be back to report on some of his earlier work that he wanted to share for other insights into the ways of the Tall Ones.

I want to thank him for amazing documentation and insights, experimental methods and thorough field notes. His body of work in the field for almost two decades has been truly impressive. I cannot wait for him to share more with us.

I am reposting the beginning episode in the series - "What is Urban Sasquatch?"

Blog Entry Saturday: What Do We Have to Fear From the Unexplained?

I have dealt with a wide arena of investigators of many studies from ancient mysteries to Bigfoot, ghosts to UFOs. As most of what we study is up for conjecture, so are the outcomes. Ghosts could be good or bad, they could be spirits of the dead or something in the natural world, could be made up by our minds or something other dimensional. With this many possibilities, you can see why it's hard to tell whether to fear it or what to fear.

Trek To Hollow Earth's Opening

(LINK)

Hollow Earth concept is one that was born out of some musings in the past about whether the earth might contain pockets of life we don't know about on the surface, or perhaps an entire world within. There are legends of this from around the world which makes it an interesting subject to study.

Bigfoot Sightings on Oil and Gas Leases

My career is based in the oil and gas industry in the brokerage arena, something I'm extremely passionate about. There is something about knowing you are a cog in the wheel that keeps people driving to Grandma's, packaging goods, flying to other countries, and bringing goods to store shelves is a very rewarding calling.

My friend and mentor who brought me into the industry, also brought with him some stories of encounters with the Tall Ones, either on leases or trekking to and from in the wee hours.

Like forest rangers, park officials, police, and others who have regular time outdoors at all hours, those who manage oil leases often report encounters. Let's look at some -

Horror in the South! Why Southern Horror Delights

The American South has a delicious combination of manners and grace, grit and strength, blood, sweat and tears. It feeds America, provides gas and oil, tempts us with endless coastlines, swamps, amazing cuisine, and hospitality. It's seen wars, slavery, segregation, immigrants, alligators, poisonous snakes, yellow fever, yet it stands proud.

The South also lends itself to some of the best horror plots, characters, and locations. It touts some of the creepiest urban legends and haunted locations. The people are a combination of sassy, strong and, as my mom would phrase it, "so sweet, I could eat you with a spoon!"

Let's take a look at what lurks in the South that makes it a horror influence like no other -

I'm on the Radio in a Few

I'm joining MK Davis and Don Monroe, two of my favorite researchers, on Bigfoot Central radio show at 8 pm EST tonight.

The Curse of Civil War Gold: History Channel

I grew up with the legends of Braddock's Gold, payroll for soldiers, supposedly stuffed into two cannons and buried. I spent an entire summer digging through Revolutionary War journals to find the "50 paces east of an oak tree," clue. That kept me going most summers of my childhood. So, I was thrilled to see History Channel's newest brilliant programming (I love this channel!!!)

The Urban Sasquatch Journal: A Tree Falls

This is the reporting by a Bigfoot researcher of an ongoing study in the Southern part of the United States in a very large park area near homes and urban setting. Read the prior series HERE.

How to Make Spooky Photographs

Scary is easy to find. It presents itself with light and dark, odd angles, and looming images taken from below, sometimes just cropped parts of a scene are scary, and black and white always works, but how else can you get spooky photos? Let me give some suggestions -

Chimeras: Half Man/Half Beast

artistic rendering

Chimeras: Animal/man hybrids. What kind of conclusions can we make about such things if they truly exist? Well, knowing that humans and animals cannot mate and create offspring, there's only one option - DNA manipulation. If they do not truly exist, then they are an amazing human fantasy so deeply rooted, it has been in art for and mythology for thousands of years, on cave drawings, on heiroglyphs in Egypt and Greek stories.

Real-Life Voluntary Castaway!

There have been many people adrift at sea and some that get marooned on a deserted island, but one man lived 16 years in isolation voluntarily. His story is quite amazing and he crafted it into a most-compelling book, An Island To Oneself by Tom Neale.
