GHT in 2017

- 2017 for GHOST HUNTING THEORIES -

GHT has been an evolving blog. It began with me exploring the mysteries that most attract my attention and sharing my research into the paranormal starting in 2008. It evolved over time to include pieces about researchers and explorers, witnesses and more. I have taken everyone into the subjects with a new look at them from a different perspective to open minds and insert wonder (my tagline). But, what's up for 2017?

Amazing Footprints Found Around the World!

(closer examination shows 6 toes)

You may or may not believe this print (above - found in South Africa, said to be billions of years old rock) as a genuine footprint of some unbelievable giant from hundreds of millions of years ago and set into rock, but there have been unusual, either large footprints or very ancient ones found around the world.

Floating Caskets When Cemeteries Flood

It wasn't just in the movie "Poltergeist" where graves surfaced. Often floods bring to surface the last occupants of the town and sometimes in grizzly scenarios like something out of a zombie movie.

Haunting the White House: Lincoln's Ghost

You can’t talk about famous ghosts without mentioning the most beloved one in America; Abraham Lincoln. The haunting of the White House by Lincoln is a favorite story amongst historians and romantics in America. After all, when you have a parent that you trust and you believe is a good and honest person, then who replaces them? We have yet to have a president we regard in quite the same one as the man responsible for stitching America back together again. His early loss makes him an likely suspect to malinger (think of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe). Perhaps we're not ready to get rid of the ideals that put America on the map. But then, again, perhaps we sense that he really is still amongst us...

Red-Haired Mummies Around the World

Ancient mummies were found with blond hair on Catalina Island and long black hair in other parts of the country, but the red-haired ones piqued curiosity because they were found all over the country and sometimes associated with being, well, generally cranky, giant, and troublesome like the cannabilistic ones in Nevada associated with the Lovelock Cave. Supposedly, samples taken from some bog mummies in Florida showed them to be of Northern European origin. What common ancestor created this red hair and what common ancestor created the height?

Top 5 Antarctica Unsettling Mysteries!

Antarctica is one of the most remote and inhospitable locations on Earth. Not many have been there relative to the world population and very few stay year-round, only die-hard researchers. Yet, this land of ice and penguins was not always covered in a sheet of extremely thick ice. At one time, the continent was part of the larger land mass that was on Earth that broke apart and drifted tens of millions of years ago. So, what kind of magic might be held within the ice?

Ancient Giant City Unearthed!

We know Missouri is chock full of caves and gives a great underground area (this one in Kansas City) for storing things under ideal storage conditions, but perhaps an ancient man in this region also realized the potential underground. Creepy Santa Photos and Santa Horrors

There is not much more twisted and odd than seeing Santa not looking quite right, perhaps posing oddly, looking drunk, or sporting a shiner. Most kids have issues with the bearded one. He isn't like most relatives and he laughs too much. Here's a fun collection for your holiday pleasure -

Legendary Christmas Monsters

Halloween ended, many grieved. Christmas begins and they might come to life again when they realize there were a lot of legends of monsters to keep children in place.

Talk about a holiday buzzkill, European children had to be pretty frightened of Christmas - it could be really good or incredibly evil. In many ways, it reflects religious beliefs of a Divine reward or a hellish punishment.

Is Mankind Separated Into Two Or More Alternate Realities?

You say Berenstain Bears, we say Berenstein Bears

It is a called the "Mandela Effect" and it involves people taking notice of things they always assumed about the world and things written about the world today that don't match up. From this discrepancy, some believe that at some point, some of us moved on to an alternate reality that doesn't match up with our previous world. The term came from the phenomenon of people who believed Nelson Mandela had died in prison and were shocked to find out he hadn't.
