Two-Fer Paranormal Vacations: Enjoy Two Phenomena In One Place

Paranormal Geeks generally love everything paranormal, but many of us focus on just one study. Suppose you want to go camping this summer to try and encounter Bigfoot, but you're missing out on haunted campgrounds or sites where there are spooklights witnessed, maybe even a UFO hot spot!

Today, I'm going to focus on helping my readers plan a camping trek that might just put them in the lineup for a few kinds of phenomena in one setting, a two-fer vacay!

Swamp Lights and Spooklights

Often called will-o'-the-wisps, swamp lights have baffled people for ages. These glowing lights often seen in swamp areas are popularly referred to as "swamp gas."

But, can they all be explained so easily?

Lemuria Found?

The discovery of the lost continent of Zealandia was a nice gain in understanding the South Pacific, a place that holds the oldest continuous culture (aborigines) and has evidence of DNA from "other" man we have yet to identify.

But what evidence do we have of a lost continent of advanced people? Let's take a look at some clues -

Creating a Creepy Garden

I am more obsessed with the outside of the home than the inside and I also love gothic atmosphere. There are a lot of wonderful ways to add creepiness, mystery, magic and frights to a garden.

How Does Our Physiology Affect the Natural World Around Us?

Post by Sharon

We often have discussions about people who are psychic vampires, draining us just by being near us, we have hands-on healers, prayer and its effects, psychokinetic ability to move objects, and so much more.

Is this just woo-woo fodder for impressionable people or there true science to back up these concepts?

Let's take a look -

We do have spring fever already in Phoenix. This photo was one of many I took at the park the other day. If you are shivering and dreaming of warm sun on your skin, here's my top 10 favorite movies to propel into warm climes, at least in your mind.

Ancient American Petroglyphs: Common Themes

When scrolling through a library of petroglyphs on my computer, I saw some things that reminded me of tribes in other locations. I started to wonder about shared symbols across vast distances, even oceans, and some of the costumed figures. Let's have a look at some of these oddities that get ignored or passed off.

Google Earth: Oddity in Ancient Lake Bed

Checking out potential ancient mystery sites often takes me on Google Earth to places that have vast nothing-ness. Such was the case while looking at the ancient Lake Lahontan in Nevada. This late Pleistocene Era lake houses Lovelock Cave that was once above the waterline and that the Paiute tribe has legends of their ancestors fighting the red-haired giants.

Today? Well, some weird facilities in the dry lake bed.

Abandoned Islands

Islands seem like such getaway retreats, but sometimes that getaway becomes a prison and the occupants escape. Let's look at some abandoned islands around the world -

Why Do Ghosts Visit You in the Bedroom?

Repeatedly when called to someone's home who is having issues with haunting-like events, we are taken to the bedroom, the site of some extraordinary encounters.

It's simple to check EMF readings off the alarm clock or C-PAP machine, but once there seems to be no reason to be having explainable discomfort in the room, we are left with the murky water that is sleep-time encounters.

Google Earth: Unusual Find in Nevada Desert!

And, I located another oddity in the Nevada desert in the middle of nowhere -

One closeup of the HSC-15 on the ground gave me the clue.  US Navy Seas Combat Squadron.

Nicely done, fellows. And, thank you so much for your service!

Are Science and Spirituality Finally Marrying?

For a long time, humans have struggled between faith and church explanations for the universe and those of science. And even within churches they didn't agree on it, nor did arenas of science jive together either.

That constant battle might be coming to an amazing union under the category of physics. And, suddenly everything makes sense - both intelligent design and the most elaborate intricate science that promotes perpetual motion of life and humanity.

Self-Reliant Ways to Approach 2020

Trends come and go but one theme that has remained strong since the turn of the millennium is being independent of the "collective" resources, as any targeted glitch in the system or the power grid could leave us in desperate times.

Some folks have taken to prepping to be completely off-grid and self-reliant, but anyone can find ways to become less and less dependent on the mass resources and reliable on their own.

Here's some simple ways to feel more self-reliant.

I adore horror films (mostly the older ones before the 90s), and I understand the importance of a lead actress who can pull off the helpless girl-turned-powerful adversary role. Here's my three favorite "scream queens" of all time -

Unusual Ways to be Buried

Your ashes in a biodegradable urn with the seed to grow a tree

Geeks like us cannot yet defy the process of passing on, although some keep holding out for cloning or brain downloads to computers.

The fact is, we are biological forms and something must be done with our bodies when we pass, but the choices today are vast compared to in the past. You can get quite creative!

Part of the Flying Humanoid Phenomena Explained?

Outside on a pretty winter day in Phoenix (60s and sunny), I noticed something dark in the sky moving around. I took my cell phone and took a photo and then another and several more, hoping to capture it on the bright screen (couldn't see it on the screen so far away).

The Dog-Faced Tribe of Andaman Islands: Marco Polo's Not-So-Tall-Tale?

Early explorers met many races of humanity around the globe.  More often than not the indigenous people greeted them with curiosity and hospitality. Most bad encounters were dependent on the explorers' attitude on approaching foreign people they could not communicate with. In the case of Marco Polo, some of his encounters were exceptional and the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal near India was perhaps the single most unusual report of locals.
