Zealandia is a previously unknown continent that sank, leaving remnants; New Zealand and New Caledonia. It appeared to have broken off of Australia tens of millions of years ago and sank 23 million years ago. This is only the beginning of interesting aspects of New Zealand's history.

Native people have long thought of this rock (above) as a rock of healing if one were to lean up against it. It is just one example of locations believed to have the power to heal.

Fairfax, Virginia is my hometown. I loved the place so much, as any kid does when they grow up in a neighborhood that is their entire world. I went back to visit in 2014 and decided I will likely never go back again. The city allowed for massive development that meant many historic estates were gone, even the one I grew up in, Aspen Grove, was plowed under for condos surrounding the 250-year-old home. Unlike nearby Clifton that did a great job of preserving its history and zoning for large acreage homes to keep buildup down, Fairfax was had a free-for-all. A recent trek to the White Tank Mountains in Northwestern Phoenix area proved to be enlightening and intriguing. Every now and then, I like to have fun experiences that remind me of my heritage. Growing up, my mom liked to do afternoon tea and when I was married, I used to put on formal tea parties. I love the ritual of tea, sitting in a beautiful setting, having leisurely grazing on many tiny tidbits of yumminess and pots of good hot tea. This last weekend I went to a wonderful tea cottage with my best friend and her mother. I'm going to review that experience today.

It seems to be human nature to look at things and notice the construct of eyes, nose and mouth and the mind readily interprets it as a face. This basic need we have, perhaps something traced back to being a baby and needing to know what is feeding you, was a vital instinct but in investigation it can be a real difficult path that is often argued among researchers looking over evidence.

UFO sightings are often dismissed and forgotten when there is only one witness, or perhaps just a handful. However, mass sightings are talked about in the news and, thanks to social media and cell phones, shared with the masses. Let's look at some mass sightings that were quite impressive.
