Winter Getaway: Casino and Amusement Park Cruises

A winter time cruise getaway always sounds like heaven, but if you want more to do than watch movies or lie out by the pool, you might be excited to know there is some action on cruise lines in the form of casinos!

Great Hot-Drink-Themed Gifts To Make For Christmas

Recipe for stirrers here

My very favorite and most appreciated gifts are foods and drinks baskets. I love them because they force me to sit down and have some luxuries I wouldn't sit down and give myself living alone and also because I'm not left with some knick knack I didn't need and now have to find a home for.

Legendary Christmas Monsters

Halloween ended, many grieved. Christmas begins and they might come to life again when they realize there were a lot of legends of monsters to keep children in place.

Talk about a holiday buzzkill, European children had to be pretty frightened of Christmas - it could be really good or incredibly evil. In many ways, it reflects religious beliefs of a Divine reward or a hellish punishment.

Complete Guide to Christmas Gifts for Paranormal Geeks

I've broken gifts down into categories like equipment, clothing, books, games, collectibles, etc. Under each photo is its name in the form of a link to the product to make it easy to check it out or shop for other makes/sizes/related equipment. I've worked to get a variety of price points for any type of gift giving from office party to most important person.

Lincoln's Ghost

You can’t talk about famous ghosts without mentioning the most beloved one in America; Abraham Lincoln.

The haunting of the White House by Lincoln is a favorite story among historians and romantics in America. After all, when you have a parent that you trust and you believe is a good and honest person, then who replaces them? We have yet to have a president we regard in quite the same one as the man responsible for stitching America back together again.

My Five Must-See Christmas Movies

I'm going to share my Christmas movie favorites and explain why they satisfy.

Habituation Situation: Blatantly Curious Back and Forth

Every Monday on Ghost Hunting Theories I continue to archive what I consider to be one of the most significant habituation situations documented by researchers. As the series continues along, field notes, photos, audio and video will be revealed on a massive scale.

As the researchers worked to understand the entities they were dealing with, around every corner they found more and more startling evidence and interactions that changed their viewpoint on everything they thought they knew about mankind.

Yeti! Yeti! Yeti!

There are the yetis of the Himalayas that are big, fierce, and terrorize villagers, and then there are the yeti of popular culture - a mixed bag of terror and cuddliness. Let's have a look at our yeti renditions, shall we? If you have a yeti freak in your family, these may be the dream yeti gifts.

Are You a Paranormal Geek? Find Out!

It might be easy with a term like "Paranormal Geek" to imagine folks with meters chasing ghosts, but paranormal geeks are truly a wide swath of the population and, as Julie Ferguson and I like to say in our book slogan for "Paranormal Geeks" we outnumber the normal people.

If You Liked (This) Horror Movie, You'll Like (This) One

It's not to say that horror movies copy each other (although we know they often do) but sometimes films can remind us of another one we had seen. I know some obscure horror movies that are similar in subject or feel to more popular movies. Here, I'm going to recommend some may-not-have-seen-it similars and a link to see them on YouTube.

Unexplained Utah: Skull Valley Beast?

This post is researched and written by researcher Dennis Guern and myself.

The more we research into the western US and the oddities, the more we keep getting drawn to Utah where there is much more layers of weirdness to uncover than has already been uncovered.

In the started of Unexplained Utah, we begin this installment about the Skull Valley Beast -

Delightful Christmas Anthology Book

Mystic Publishers (the company I publish with), put together a delightful Christmas anthology book, "Christmas Across Time." My story "A Different Kind of Christmas" can be found starting on page 99. A teenage girl's move to the desert right before Christmas has her distressed until the true meaning of Christmas becomes apparent.

How To Attract Spirits

If you watch ghost hunting shows, by now you’ve probably noticed something interesting. Certain investigators seem to attract action. Others seem to be forever waiting for an encounter.

Don't Think of it as Snow: Think of it as Opportunity!

Snows are hitting early this year. It's odd to see summers hotter, winters colder. For those of you plugging through snow, here's a new way to look at it.

Can Prayer Change Water Crystal Formation?

Masaru Emoto was an author (The Hidden Messages in Water) who took on an arena most refer to as pseudoscience pondering if our human consciousness can affect properties of water. His experiments shed light on possibilities that boggle the mind.

Newly Found Amazing Caves

We often think we've found it all, but in the new millenium we have found we share DNA with Neanderthal and discovered a man called Denisvovans that we also share DNA with. We find new discoveries in the bottom of the ocean and new caves on the earth. In fact, only a few years ago, the largest cave in the world was discovered!

Here's some newer caves discovered in recent years -

Artists Using Nature As Their Medium

When we think artists, we often imagine sculpture and paintings hanging on museum walls, but art is inspired often by nature and some very talented and visionary artists are utilizing nature as a medium. Here's my three favorites -

Choosing a Fire Pit

Fire pits are a fall and winter delight. Most folks want one in their backyard and the easiest method is to go by Home Depot or Lowe's and pick up a metal one and set it up nice and neat and sit around, but what you plan to use your fire pit for is critically important to finding the right match.

Spontaneous Astral Projection

Astral projection is the supposed process of one's soul or consciousness leaving the body to travel elsewhere. Many work to try and achieve the state of leaving one's body. I have talked to a few who practiced techniques and were able to stand up in spirit while the body was lying down, but the feet remained grounded and attached. Some, however, can spontaneously achieve this in sleep state without intending. I am one of them.

Giants With Six Fingers and Six Toes

Three Rivers, NM

Ancient man was not stupid. He may not have had cell phones, but he could certainly count fingers and toes and yet he managed to portray specifically those with extra digits, not in all art work, but in the occasional work.

HoHoKam Missing Tribe

(Enhanced color to show the image better)
Man on a horse in around 1100 AD in Arizona?

The ancient Arizona tribe called the HoHoKam have long been pondered as to why they went "missing." They were firmly established in what is now the Greater Phoenix Area and surrounding lands. But then between 1350 and 1450 AD, they went missing.

Airplane-Themed Horror Movies

A majority of people are uncomfortable with flying already, so horror movies based on the mortally vulnerable activity are especially horrifying. As someone who has had airplane disaster premonition dreams her whole life, I've been on dozens of crashes - all the way to the end - as a sort of psychic witness. Do I like to fly? Hell no! Every time I do fly, I think "what was I thinking getting on this machine with a stranger flying it?"

Catacombs Around the World

From Wikipedia: The ossuary holds the remains of about 6 million people[1] and fills a renovated section of caverns and tunnels that are the remains of Paris' stone mines. Opened in the late 18th century, the underground cemetery became a tourist attraction on a small scale from the early 19th century, and has been open to the public on a regular basis from 1867. Following an incident of vandalism, they were closed to the public in September 2009 and reopened 19 December of the same year. The official name for the catacombs is l'Ossuaire Municipal. Although this cemetery covers only a small section of underground tunnels comprising "les carrières de Paris" ("the quarries of Paris"), Parisians today often refer to the entire tunnel network as "the catacombs.

"Eminence Hill" Due Out Today - Arizona-Based Western/Thriller Winning Awards!

As an indie filmmaker of a sort - writing/directing/costume/makeup/production, and more - I am extremely supportive of filming in Arizona. In fact, our team "State 48 Films" focuses on doing feature films and streaming TV series work here locally.

For some time I've been following a director with enormous promise. Robert Conway hit it out of the park with this award-winning film coming out today.
