Bone Dumping

I did a post just last week about uses for bones in overcrowded cemeteries. I always kid around about the State of Arizona. It's still very "rustic" here and not a lot of rules and laws except some inane ones like not being allowed to put your donkey in a bathtub....

Well, this one is a real humdinger. It seems at the Bisbee Cemetery they found a big pit of bones. What the heck? You ask. Me too! It appears the owner was trying to save money and was dumping the bones into a pit nearby. According to law, he's okay doing it. Some medical research lab sent the bones to the cemetery owner to discard. Well, this is how he did it. Only in AZ. This state makes me laugh when it doesn't make me wince under the heat and sunshine and prickly cacti.

  1. That's our state and its crazy laws. Be sure not to kick a cactus or you will have to pay a hefty fine.

  2. I like that you can't have dogs in the bed of your trucks, but people, sure yeah, why not?

You may not fart in a public place after 6 PM.

  5. Hope there will be somebody sane to pick those bones, have them cremated or something.

No such luck. They were donated to science and they can dump them whereever they want. Crazy, huh?

  7. Nice. I hope at least, like here, if a body or it's parts are used in research that they tried to contact family members to see if they wanted to claim their loved ones pieces parts first for proper burial et. al. Geez! But, then again, most people may not even want them. And after all, the person (hopefully) knew what would happen to them if they were used as a cadaver etc.

Yeah, if you leave your body for research, what happens to it is at the discretion of the researchers and people know that when signing up. Your athiests are most likely to do this to better science because they really don't want or need prayers or blessings because they no longer exist in any form any longer. I get that. I still think having a pit full of bones is rather unsettling for visitors to the cemetery so I would just suggest they plow over it at least. Some would say they should have someone pray over it, but that would offend a lot of people's families who are not Christians. I say, just put them away out of sight.

  9. True. A proper burial doesn't need prayers, just a little common sense as to not freak out people! LOL

  10. Ok, just watched the video on the cemetery. I'm sorry, but if nothing else, he should be fined or his license suspended for unprofessional conduct. That's just disrespectful. PERIOD!
