Catch My Quote on TV

I heard from my ghost hunting partner that Discovery is showing a commercial for "Ghost Lab" using a quote from "Autumnforest." I managed to catch it and tape it on TV and took the screen shot above on my big screen TV. It would have been cool if the told me so I knew to look for it. Well, at least someone sharp caught it. Cool, huh?

MORE GOOD NEWS: CreepyQueen magazine accepted my short story "Cave Dwellers" for their January issue which is their premiere hard-copy printing of the magazine and mine was the only short story accepted for that issue. They also are interested in my scary clown story for their spring/summer issue! I want to thank my readers because ya'all made me believe in my ability to provide a riveting short story in the horror genre. Thanks so much!

  1. Wow...how awesome is that! If you get a recording of the ad, you should try and post it on Youtube.

  2. Actually, it's not just awesome that they used your quote in ad, but it's also awesome to think that someone from the production staff was reading your blog!

  3. That's what I love about the blog world. I think about if I were working for a production/ad agency or if I were a famous celebrity, how hard it would be to go around and enjoy posts without people bugging you. I like that they can go stealth and just find what they like and for a time be a nobody with no one kissing butt or bugging you for things. That's how I made my connection with Ghost Hunters show. Someone from Travel Channel locked onto me. I think having a name like "Ghost hunting theories" helps too. Hee hee

  6. Yeah, I'm surprised who's reading, but I'm glad they are. I'm really thrilled about my writing. I've been needing to take myself more seriously. I've been writing my whole adult life and except for submitting a few romance novels in the early 90s, I just haven't done anything with it. I think I was just working up my skills and life experience. I'm cranking it out now. I'm ready to put another writer's workshop on again soon too.

  8. Hey Burt;
    Thanks! I think it's pretty funny. The review of the show I did was pretty tough with a few positive points. I hate to rip something apart completely. There's always some redeeming qualities. They managed to find the redeeming quality I wrote about. I'm really excited about getting my writing published. I really am so thankful for such supportive followers. Ya'all are wonderful folks and such great cheerleaders!

  10. Thanks! You're so sweet! I'm as shocked as anyone that they somehow found my blog and quoted me. Weird-o-rama. Guess it says you never know on the blog-o-sphere who is stealthily lurking...
