I may tease my darling Giorgio from "Ancient Aliens," I am a HUGE fan of the show. When they have marathons of it on History Channel, I cannot change the channel!! I own seasons of it and play it all the time in the background while I'm writing, stop and listen and get enchanted and then try to focus on my work again.
The concept is simple and made famous by Erich von Daniken in his book Chariots of the Gods; man was visited by aliens, perhaps even colonizing this planet, creating lots of hints in ancient structures and artwork to show we have not always been alone here. I'm a theories gal. I love love love the concept of sitting around with smart minds, discussing "what if"?
The show interviews some pretty brilliant minds with some fascinating theories. One of my favorites is David Hatcher Childress. He has written some awesome books--you simply must check them out. He doesn't just study things, he literally goes all over the world and into the trenches, talking to the witnesses, hiking to the sites, spending time there, digesting what he comes across to form some pretty awesome concepts.
It's on Friday nights on History Channel at 10 pm EST. You owe it to your inquisitive self to enjoy it!
