Tim Burton: Killing the Classics

I don't even need to say anything. I'll let the trailers speak for his "talents"

And, the best example yet -

You know when a celebrity becomes eccentric and seriously troubled like Anna Nicole or Michael Jackson and no one around them does anything to stop the madness, but rides the gravy train? I'm thinking it's time for Tim Burton to get an intervention before he circles the drain.

  3. I'm reminded of something I ran across the other day...

    Tim Burton’s Movie Pitch:

Tim Burton: Hey guys, I have this movie idea
Studio Heads: (Oh no, not again)
Tim Burton: And Johnny Depp can be a main character
Tim Burton: And so can my wife...
Tim Burton: You guys know Helena, right?
Tim Burton: How about that guys?
Tim Burton: What do you think?
Tim Burton: Genius and original, right?

  4. I am embarrassed to say this, but the "Dark Shadows" previews that showed with "Cabin in the Woods" and "The Raven" actually made it look interesting. I'm still not sure if I'm going to spend the time and money it'll take to watch it, but it looked less loathsome than the TV ads made it look.

That said, this is yet another example of a movie being made to a) keep the trademark claim alive, and b) squeeze the final bits of money for the owneers of it out of a property... that will then be discarded like the dead and dry husk it will be.
