I love art. I also love the ocean. And, I happen to love urban exploration and haunted places. What if you could put those all together into something that moves you emotionally and leaves you haunted by the images? I have never said that any artist was my favorite. I know that my tastes in art change over time, but no matter what I go through in my life in phases, Jason deCaires Taylor (click his name and go to the most amazing website - it will blow your mind) is my favorite artist EVER.
Yes, he's easy on the eyes and the soul--but look at this work:
That last picture is rally cool.
ReplyDeleteIt's freaking brilliant, especially to see what the sea does with these things over time. It's unbelievable. A dream vacation would include diving around looking at those.
ReplyDeleteOh, that was spectacular! I've never heard of this artist. I will definitely check out the link to find out more about him. That was a magical film! I loved seeing the fish swimming around the statues - especially the little seahorse!! It was the perfect combination of natural beauty with human creativity. Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm going to go google him, but just so you know, the link isn't working.
