A Navajo father living in the Chuskas mountain range in Northeastern Arizona contacted an elder to kill a Bigfoot that was stalking the man's daughter.
The father cut down the tree.
Then, it kept lurking at the edge of the densest part of the forest near their house and would follow his daughter whenever she left.
The elder who was called in, instead of resorting to violence, simply told the father he would get rid of the youngster.

The elder built a HUGE rock cairn! He told the father that the bigger the rock cairn, the bigger the Bigfoot and the more authoritative!
The girl’s would-be suitor never showed up again.

This is more than a true story, it's a lesson in dealing with our forest neighbors. They could easily do violence upon us and yet let us come and go, shoot guns, ride ATVs through their dens, and yet they allow us ingress and egress.
