Journal #3
Report #17
Saturday April 9, 2016

Today's report includes 35 photos. Last visit revealed a lot of items moved, etc. This visit I straightened up the area and did new set-ups. There are few new observations. So, the photos will show mainly the set-ups. These are self-explanatory.

I visited my mom today. She lives approximately an hour's drive from my area. I decided on the way home to start removing personal items from the site. I arrived at the parking area approximately 3 PM. This day, again, I had to hike to the site.

After completing the set-ups, etc. I left the area around 4:30 PM. In the coming weeks more items will be removed from the site and set-ups reduced.

At this time, I'm not happy with my visits and results. I've been considering to leave the area by January 2017. We'll see what happens. To be fair to the area, I may have to spend a few nights at the pipes, set up digital recorders and really use the 3 trail cameras in my possession. Okay, that's my considerations at this time.

Here are the photos with some explanations on a few of them.

#1. thru #8.  After entering the trail, I noticed this small tree broke over by the side pointing back to the west. ???? This is not a common break along the trail. I have seen just a few during my time here. The obvious ones are in the wooded areas away from the trail. Also possibly some ground stick signs in the same vicinity of the break along the trail, off the pavement.????

#9. and #10. The items (rocks, dice, letter blocks) on top of the plastic trash container have been jumbled.????

#11. thru #33. All new set-ups.

#34. and #35. These limbs and stumps were cut with a saw. I saw them on the way in off the trail by the road passing thru this section of the park. It's just unusual their being placed at this spot. Of course some hiker/walker may have done this but for what purpose? I lean towards the 'forest people' messing with us.

This concludes field report #17 for Saturday April 9, 2016.
