Journal Volume 3
Visit #8
February 14, 2016

I have been out to the area the last 2 days. I just wanted to see if anything happened overnight. I arrived at the park around 3:19 PM. The temperature was 73 and partly sunny. I decided to go to the P.R.O.W first then back to site 1B.

On the way, I stopped at the cedar tree past the 1/4 mile marker.

#1. thru #3. The sticks near the cedar tree have been adjusted again. ???? I left them as is.

I arrived at the P.R.O.W. at 4:05 PM.

#4.  The bottom of the pack has been ripped open and the contents removed except for 3 apples in the small, zippered compartment. ????

#5. thru #8. The food wrappers have been scattered over a large area from the food gifting pack. ???? The furthest item was approximately 50' to the SE from the pack. ???

#9. thru #11. The Native American drawings sheet was removed/untied from the string and left on the ground???? The hole on the plastic document holder was not torn. That means it was untied.???.

I picked up all the trash.

#12. I removed the old, torn pack and replaced with a newer one. It's approximately 6'10" to the top of the new pack off the ground.

#13. I put the drawings sheet with the 'educational' items found recently. These items were found scattered across a small area just east of the site.

At 4:35 PM I left the P.R.O.W. for site 1B. I arrived at 1B around 4:55 PM.

#14. thru #16.  The food items have been removed from the map case. ????? The various wrappers were scattered on the ground under the map case. The apples were not taken. one was bit into and left. ?????

#17. thru #19. The balls bucket with the juvenile 'BF' drawings was torn from the bucket and was on the ground underneath.???? It was partially folded as shown in photo's #17 and #18. I straightened it out in photo #19.

I leave the site around 5:30 PM.

I think this is the first time to visit the area 3 days in succession.

This concludes field report #8 for Sunday February 14, 2016.
