Villagers With Torches and Pitchforks

We're not that far away from villagers with torches and pitchforks if you consider some of the activists in the conservative tea party, the pro-lifers and the Bigfoot community these days.

In fact, this theme was popular in old monster movies likes like Frankenstein, The Wolfman, and Phantom of the Opera, it later evolved into the 1950s SciFi movies with the military greeting the aliens.

Thankfully, it can sometimes be quite amusing -

Ironically, man can tone it down and get a completely different message when he raises his torch -

  4. Given recent reports concerning the different 'Occupy' movements, how could you omit them from your "torch and pitchfork" list? YIKES!!

I love watching the old Frankenstein movies and especially the scenes from 'Young Frankenstein!' I think 'WolfMan' also had mobs of people out looking for monsters!
