Toxic Pool For Halloween

Last night, I tried the green lens on the pool light and went for 2 green lenses to make it glowing enough (the picture makes it look darker than it truly was. I floated the toxic containers all over the surface, but they didn't really show up, so I put a green glow stick inside one and BOOM! I'm going to hopefully pick up more green glow sticks and it'll be totally toxic! (see the difference between the lit one and non-lit one?)

  3. I read inside this cool book about extreme pumpkins that the dude cut open the glow sticks and poured it on stuff to make it glow. I almost thought of doing that inside the containers and let it drip inside, but even if I glued down the lids to the jugs, I'd be paranoid my pool would get it. Ick! That would make me look pretty funny after a swim, actually. Thanks for your input. My 21-year-old son was practically jumping up and down in glee. I'm using the sticks in Jack O'Lanterns too because I don't trust drunk people with fire... :-)

  4. We need you to walk out a little from the house so we can get the "effect".

    You do love your Halloween.

  5. Hey @eloh;
    Yeah, I tried a far away shot, but you just couldn't in the dark get the feel for it without the flash and the flash took the color out of it. On the night of the party, I'll have nearby lights that will brighten it so I can get some great shots and we're doing video which I hope to put on YouTube and post on my blog so ya'all can join the party.

  7. Kimberly;
    Thanks. Yeah, I'm curious to see their reaction. At the entry gate to the yard, there's going to be a fallout shelter sign and a voiceover saying over and over again "If a member of your family dies, please leave the body outside the shelter. This voice is the last voice you will hear." Very very chilling. I'm setting up some black lights so when people come in and there's tons and tons of white crosses (painted with glow paint), they'll just glow. Then, the huge mannequin dude will be holding a stick with a head on it and wearing his gas mask. This is too fun. Since I was a kid, I lived to spook people out because it entertains me how they scream and cringe. I'd be a great extra in a haunted house. hee hee
