Escape Monday: Bunnyman

As we get closer to Halloween, I thought doing Escape Monday's with themes of original terrors for me would be fitting. I adore urban legends and I’ve mentioned this one before but it’s definitely worth letting you have a look at this short documentary based on the tale of the “Bunnyman Bridge.” I grew up just a few short miles from this area and often went by there as a child because we owned property in Clifton where we would chop down wood for our fire pile. I didn’t know the tales about it until I was about 7 or 8. When I heard them, my reaction wasn’t the typical. It was one of fascination to the extreme. I had to stop and walk through the tunnel and stand around the area for a time. It didn’t matter what time of year it was, you always have the sense of being watched. It give me chills just to say, “Bunnyman.” (whispered so he won't hear me!)

  1. Thanks for your comments on my blog! And I meant to thank your for one of your earlier comments about eating as if you are already the weight you want to be! I'm only 5' 2" - so carrying an extra 50lbs is VERY noticeable! Well to me anyway! lol - I want to lose 40 and anything beyond that will be icing on the cake! I will see how I feel when I'm there - My lowest weight was 122lbs - and that was 4 years ago (I was that weight for about 3 years and got complacent!) Thanks again for your support - it really means a lot! :-D

  3. Stephen;
    You're not far off, actually. I heard it was inspired by this story and took place in Middlsex, VA.

  4. Living this close to VA - I would love to go to this bridge and do a little ghost hunting. =) Cool! Oh, and the guy's voice in this documentary is scary as hell.

  5. Michelle;
    If you went there, you'd be going right past my childhood manor. If you ever decide to go, I'll give you directions. :-)
