New to Georgia, I am trying as much cuisine as I can. Of course, coming from Phoenix (in no way a BBQ capital), i wanted to try some southern BBQ faves.
I have to be super honest about this review, as I don't know any other way to be. I wanted soooo much to love this food I ordered, but OMG -
I ordered the rib tips, Alabama white sauce, mac & cheese, collard greens, and banana pudding.
The rib tips - were all bone with a bit of dry meat around them. You have to be super careful as this is the meat you feed your dog. The Alabama white sauce was awesome and the only thing that made it possible to eat around what was 2/3 bone and 1/3 overcooked meat. I felt like I had fought my pet for his bowl of scrap supper.
The mac&cheese didn't look like anything but a thick sticky cheesy thing with no noodles to see. It was okay if you like super sticky mac&cheese, but the container was very small.
The collard greens I was very excited about, as I am a greens/veggie freak. It had a good, almost pickled taste, but super salty and when things are oversalted, I know that no one is testing the mix.
The banana pudding was super delicious. This might be a place I go to for that one dessert, but I suspect I will learn to make this quickly and not need to sit through the supper.
I wish I like this so much, but out of 5 stars, I'd give it 2.
