Georgia's Fairyland Caverns Path and Doll's Head Trail

Upon settling in Georgia recently, the Fairyland Caverns at Lookout Mountain in "Rock City" Georgia caught my eye right away.

The description of this magical place says it all; "Welcome to Rock City, a family-friendly mountaintop attraction on Lookout Mountain where gardens, hidden gnomes, ancient rock formations, and panoramic seven-state views unfold like a living storybook of outdoor wonder."

There are plenty of gnomes, art displayed in the gardens, amazing views, magical pathways, seasonal events, and amazing rock formations.

I admit, now that I'm in Georgia, it will take a lifetime to explore the state and its offerings, but there is something inspiring and magical about the landscape that lends itself to gnomes and fairies - all beautiful counterpoints to the painful history forged by a very strong and proud people.

There is another park called "Doll's Head Trail" in DeKalb County, Georgia. This lovely park has pathways that wind around, with artistic and often creepy doll head displays that seem as if they were born in the natural setting.

Had I known about this place, I might have volunteered my old aged doll's head collection, as I aged mine in my backyard vegetable garden.
