Creepy Scary Vintage Photos

 

The shadows grow long, autumn advances in her goal of driving us toward the darkness. And so, some creepy photos, especially vintage ones, take on a gothic horror vibe. Enjoy!

Consider making your own vintage-looking creepy photos. Here's some I've done - 

Dolls - They are creepy on their own, but in weird settings and poses, and candlelight, they take on a prickle of fear. 

Techniques (below) I put some spooky images up on the tv screen and shot the photos through a mason jar - 

In the photo (below), I had someone wear a Michael Myers mask outside the front door and took the shot through the peephole.

Selfies (below) tin foil over my face and a hooded cape. 

Reflections (below) can tell a story - 

(below) a mask on your face, reflected in a window or water. Consider doing black and white conversions for a real retro vibe.

(below) A carved dried apple head.

Other ideas - abandoned buildings, cemeteries at sunset, shadows, creepy dolls, burlap bag masks, farm implements, barns....
