I often advocate ghost hunting without equipment. The reason I do this is you are almost surely not going to get any definitive proof of encounters if you are utilizing equipment. Why is this?
Investigating without equipment means refining the only real equipment we have that can register ghosts - the human body.
We are the ones who can sense we are being watched, can feel when our hair is being tugged, can visualize a shadow moving in low light. If we enter an established haunted location (and hopefully on a night of a geomagnetic storm that stimulates the psychic center - the pineal gland), we are not distracted. We are focused on every sight, every sound, every smell, every feel.
Why can't our equipment discern these things and reflect the encounters we have?
Consciousness.
We are by our very souls tapped into the universal consciousness. It's a flow of information about the universe, past, present, and future that contains all knowledge.
A spirit is one who lives in the energy path of consciousness. They reside without form in a higher dimension. The only way we can discern them is to tap into the shared consciousness.
Have you ever thought about someone and then they called you? Have you ever had cautious feelings about taking a drive only to find out there was a large accident on that roadway? Have you ever said the same thing as someone else at the same time?
We call this quantum entanglement in the scientific world. It is when two particles are separated by great distance and yet what happens to one happens to the other at the very exact same time as if there is no space or travel between them.
Psychics will tell you, this is an absolute truth.
Soulless equipment that cannot register consciousness is not going to help with something of what we categorize as spiritual nature. Only a soul will perceive another soul. Only a consciousness stream will give validation.
There is a great deal of breakthrough about consciousness occurring today in the scientific community. In fact, they have finally caught on to the possibility that alien life forms utilize consciousness, whether it's mind speak or driving their UAPs.
While our calculator might figure out a math equation faster than we do, your ghost hunting equipment cannot beat what a human is capable of perceiving.
So, where does this take us in the matter of ghost investigations. First, we must throw away the notion that we are somehow going to prove ghosts and make everyone jump onboard. Then, we must not consider the tools the ideal for of information gathering to prove a particular location is haunted. After all, when you no longer have physical form, physical location are not definitive or relevant. Ghosts are everywhere, utilizing the same space we inhabit, simply on a different plane.
Practices such as meditation can do a lot more for communicating, as well as training psychic skills. Tapping the universal consciousness is a river and you have to learn to swim in it or you tumble around and get no bearings.
The future of ghost hunting should include studies such as Steven Greer's CE5 meditation method for calling on UFOs. The truth is, when we learn to call upon these things from other realms, we get a whole lot further than hoping we capture them on film, photos, or audio.
As a psychic who does utilize seance methods as well as psychometry readings, I can tell you that tapping the consciousness stream is easier for children who are closer to their pre-birth realm and those who have had NDEs (near-death experiences) who are fresh from that realm. Once you recognize that pathway, manifesting can begin. It's an exalted space that reminds us of our origins and connects us to past, present, and future relatives.
Are souls trapped here or have unfinished business or don't know they're dead. NO.
Let's evolve the communication with the spirit realm by putting away the plumber's equipment and the voice box receivers. They are not only a distraction (as you look at your meter wondering if there's a ghost, an apparition just moved in front of you), and the "scientific" mind set of using equipment keeps your mind in analytical mode. That's not at all a good way to communicate and build a pathway.
My suggestion is to work on group meditations with your team, develop protocols to be an open setting for consciousness to stream. If you wish to recall the meetings, consider running a voice recorder and allowing those meditating to document their experiences.
Consider an EVP session that is silent. Write down 5 questions and give copies to each member. The leader says "start" and everyone concentrates on the first question for 30 seconds. Then, the leader says, "pause" and everyone clears their minds to allow for an answer on the voice recorders (always use several, even in other rooms as sometimes answers occur far from where you are asking them). Then, the leader will say "next" and everyone concentrates on the next question for 30 seconds. And on, and on, and on.
Bring you own spirit to the occasion. Dare yourself to go without any equipment to "prove" the encounter.
