Review "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" Season 5 Episode 13 on History Channel

Tonight on "Beyond the Gates" the season-ender episode is entitled "The Rocky Road Ahead." The team is interviewed on their plans to retrieve whatever is in the mesa.

Tonight on "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch" on History Channel is entitled "The Breakthrough." The team utilizes a multifocused study of all the active areas and possibly come to answer the questions about what is going on at the ranch.

Another episode of 'Behind the Gates" is entitled, "Hot, Hot, Hot Spots." The team is interviewed about how the phenomena on the ranch might all be connected.

BEHIND THE GATES - "THE ROCKY ROAD AHEAD"
This interview was focused on the mystery of mesa from inside and out. They talked about the mesa glowing, the holes they poked around in that revealed a strange metallic item, sucking in the smoke bomb's smoke, and the metals dug up during drilling. They moved on to discuss the future of the mesa research. They admitted they want to insert instruments into mesa to see whatever that "dome" is within the mesa.

Before the season ender - they recapped the research there -
They reshowed the things from early in the research - glowing mesa, beams of light heading skyward from the mesa. This became a recap of the findings of seasons. This included investigating if the mesa had been blown up to cover a cave, followed by drilling attempts. There was a drilling obstruction and the dig spoilings showed flecks of metal. This metal was shown to be manufactured and have properties of spaceship tiles created for protection on reentry. They went back over the history of drilling the mesa.

THE SECRET OF SKINWALKER RANCH "The Breakthrough"

The episode opened with the drill site. The drill team got an instrument that could help remove the pipe from the mesa that is stuck. The team had drilled two boreholes going up inside the mesa. The team is racing against coming weather that could make it impossible to work anymore. The fantastically talented drill team got it - pipe retrieval. They became ready to drill again.

Mobile LIDAR arrived with an incredibly accurate LIDAR unit. The team is looking to gather more info about the whole region.

A rocket will go up in the East Field to stimulate phenomena, and the mobile LIDAR vehicle will drive from there toward Triangle and drill site, and homesteady 2. Looking from ground to helicopter above to find anything.

While flying his helicopter, Cameron will wear nightvision goggles to see anything unseen around him.

Drone radar device will dance around between the locations.

Kaleb will use hand-held LIDAr unit.

While all of this is going on, the drillers will continue drilling into the mesa that evening.

A burner from a hot air balloon will be lit up to try to encounter the blob-like anomaly at 31 feet up. His speed nightvision, thermal, and IR - throwing everything at this while stimulating phenomena.

After dark, Cameron took to the sky 1000 feet above the mobile LIDAR vehicle in the East Field.

They then lit the rocket. The perfect rocket launch was followed by the mobile LIDAR vehicle past Triangle, past drill rig, past Homestead 2 with Cameron shadowing up above in the helicopter.

Jim Royston's drone then went up to the area where GPS data had been confused and also where a UAP went through the mesa and out.

The LIDAR vehicle turned and headed back to start. It appeared that Cameron thought he was over the LIDAR truck, but he was far away from it. Cameron was eyeballing it and was seeing something different between Cameron's position and the truck's position. Cameron was visually seeing it beneath him and he was 50 yards away. It appeared to be a strange optical distortion.

The LIDAR truck got to the end of the second run. The Chopper went up again to 2000 feet versus the 1000 feet they did the first runs. They are hoping this gives a perspective for seeing what might be above 1000 feet.

They launched a rocket again. Cameron could not see  the rocket launch at all.

The LIDAR on the drone picked up something in the air over the weird "spire" found on photogrammetry study. It is possible this might have been what blocked Cameron's view. They found yet another strange image of the potential cone-shaped anomaly.

Next, they decided to run the hot air balloon flame and look for the blog at 31 feet again.

They decided to have Cameron go up 5000 feet to get him out of the range of the cone-shaped anomaly. The goal was to see if he could see thins on the ground accurately out of that range.

All LIDAR, drone, and FLIR were on the flame experiment.

Cameron in the helicopter had static on the radio during the burning of the flame. The next time the flame went on, Cameron once again had static on the radio. They once again shot the flame to test the effects. Some odd shadow thing went across the edge of the mesa very quickly. The smoke from the flame seemed to hit something invisible and push off to the side.

Cameron radioed from 10,000 feet and said there are small objects that keeps flying past him.

The drilling unit managed to get a bore hole all the way through the mesa and out the top. They should be able to insert instruments into the casing once they have an 18" hole to study what is inside the mesa.

The team was left with more data in one evening than ever done.

The team realizes it's almost snow season so they are going to have to pull the pipe out and let it sit until they can drill the larger borehole and add casing to put instruments in.

The team congregates in Brandon's high rise building. Joining them was Jay Stratton who was overseer at the ranch under Bigelow, also, two members of ASA Americans For Safe Airspace.

Erik began to review the experiments with Travis's input.

They brought up Pete Kelsey who managed the LIDAR data. The data that showed up on the terrestrial LIDAR showed the pillars of anomalies - the cone strucute they got before. Pete revealed the mobile LIDAR from the truck passing back and forth. It showed data that shouldn't be there, much like the tower data.

Jim's LIDAR drone showed again gaps in the data right where the "in" point was on the mesa (the point where the UAP entered and then exited the other side). The drone flights showed exact same gaps in same spaces. The repeatability is amazing and shows the biggest anomaly is at the "in" point.

Pete revealed in the East Field he found a strange anomaly - LIDAR data points below the surface. LIDAR cannot see through the ground. It is impossible. The anomalous data underground reflects anomalies in the sky. This shows an anomalous, donut shape above and below the ground in the East Field. This is similar to what was found in the triangle.

Travis says to have such a "doorway" they would need to bend space and time.

The team then reviewed the helicopter footage from Cameron's encounter with weird flying objects. Previously a couple years ago, Cameron saw a few UAP orbs go by the helicopter at around 5000 feet. This happened again.

Looking at one the cameras mounted under the chopper, they found something very weird. A light appears in the river. in the south field It is in the area that they had a dead zone of equipment. It's very amorphous and bright. It appeared to have collided into the mesa and sort of melted into it. This was also the area where they found what might have been the remains of a dire wolf.

They reviewed the time they found a 1.6 GHz signal at Homestead 2 and found that it was coming from the sky above, as well as a rocket that managed to get stuck in the air for several seconds. Travis ponders if whatever is in the mesa is the thing that is affecting all these anomalies.

Brandon asked the team what they should do next. Thomas spoke about the borehole and that they can come back in the warm weather and re-bore it to 18" diameter so instruments can go in there and measure what's in the mesa and gather what shape it is. They can also see if they radiate radiation.

Erik showed the GPS data they got this summer - it's enormous. They realized that they need AI algirithm to help find what all is going on, to look for patterns.,Omnitech is installing Athena (AI) to the ranch to help sort through this.

my commentary -
The experiment was comprehensive and as best they could, they covered the ranch top to bottom. I am pleased they are bringing on the AI technology to look over the tons and tons of data that humans can't handle.

Perhaps my favorite line was when Travis said that this phenomena they can't recreate with the technologies and knowledge they have now.

I'm please with the season overall. It's exciting to think that right now they are likely filming season 6 in the summertime. They may have answers right now that we won't know about for a year. I am patient and I want them to do this right.

Whatever is revealed, I suspect traditional sciences will be humbled, if not humanity.
