Happy Birthday to Cassandra Peterson, aka "Elvira." We girls share the same birthday. Today, mine is one of those monumental birthdays, a new decade unfolding. Had I known when I was younger that I'd be reaching my peak of achievement in this mature decade, I'd have a different attitude about aging.
In fact, aging isn't withering, its blossoming; coming into one's true self, confidence, experience, and an ability to laugh at your quirks instead of desperately abhor them.
Elvira and I share many things in common. We are both fairly tall (she's 5'7" and I'm 5'8"), both love horror and have a wicked sense of humor, red hair, and playful nature.
Happy birthday to a great example of a fan-loving actress who knows her tribe and loves them!
