Blog Entry Saturday: October Horror TV

Pretty much, the entire month of October, on any given day, you will find horror playing on TV, cable, Netflix, etc. Let's take a look at some of the offerings.

Netflix is offering The Haunting of Hill House Friday October 12th. It will loosely be based on Shirley Jackson's novel that spawned the Robert Wise version "The Haunting." In this case, it's about siblings who grew up in a haunted house and have to go back as adults.

Syfy, as usual, is doing 31 Days of Halloween. Expect to find an extensive array of horror shows and movies every single day. In fact, set your remote control with Syfy as a favorite and you can click to it and escape the other "stuff" being replayed on other stations.

Travel Channel will be offering Ghosttober

New Shows:
Scariest Night Of My Life- Sept. 9 at 10 p.m. EST (continues through October)
Each episode will be featuring three different chilling stories.
Haunted Live-Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. EST (continues through October)
A live interactive paranormal investigation series that will be featuring the Tennessee Wraith Chasers.

New Specials:
Mysteries At The Museum: Zodiac Killer-Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. EST
True crime fans will want to DVR this special. Don Wildman will be investigating the Zodiac murders by speaking to a retired inspector who worked the crimes and learns about code-breaking!
Chris Jericho: Monster Hunter (still working title)-Oct. 10 at 10 p.m. EST
Wrestler and musician Chris Jericho will be traveling to the swamps of Southern Louisiana to look for the Rougarou and the Honey Island Swamp monster.

New Episodes:

The show is back to take viewers to haunted inns, ghost towns, and creepy attractions!

AMC (I love this channel for movies not too thrilled about it's October lineup - depends on "The Walking Dead" the first weeks!) Has FearFest for the month.
