When this teaser showed up on JLC's Instagram, the public took notice. Was it a teaser for an upcoming installment of our favorite horror series or was it just a holiday prank? Well, the answer is in and...
"Halloween" is slated to release a new installment movie in October 2018. This time, it will be produced by Jason Blum ("Paranormal Activity," and "Insidious"). Danny McBride and David Gordon Green are writing the script and David Gordon Green will also direct it.
The big question has been, will Carpenter have his magical hands in this? There is a hint that he may be interested in doing the musical score. Now, that makes it worth the admission alone!
Here's where it gets VERY exciting - the movie will be picking up after Halloween II (hospital episode the night of Halloween) and ignore all other movie renditions. This is what we prayed for in "Halloween III" when we got a basket full of nonsense having nothing to do with the series plot line.
With audiences eating up "The Walking Dead" and other tv series that are essentially soap operas that continue a plot line, doing this for a movie series like "Halloween" is what we hunger for!
