Netflix Streaming: Horror You May Not Have Seen

There are some great horror films on Netflix that you might have already seen like "The Awakening," "Legend of Hell House," "Children of the Corn," "World War Z," "The Craft," and "The Blair Witch Project."

Let's take a look at movies on streaming that you might have missed - here is an unusual variety of new and old, ghostly and slasher, and more!

(Descriptions thanks to IMDB - my movie page of choice)

The Pact
(2012) As a woman struggles to come to grips with her past in the wake of her mother's death, an unsettling presence emerges in her childhood home.

Below
(2012) A WWII sub is sent to retrieve survivors of a British crashed patrol plane. This leads to all kinds of odd happenings and paranoia.

Stake Land
(2010) Martin was a normal teenage boy before the country collapsed in an empty pit of economic and political disaster. A vampire epidemic has swept across what is left of the nation's abandoned towns and cities, and it's up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin safely north to Canada, the continent's New Eden.

Daughters of Satan
(1972) James Robertson (Tom Selleck) buys a painting depicting witches being burned at the stake, one of whom bears an uncanny resemblance to his wife, Chris. Chris, gradually taken over by the personality of the witch in the painting that she resembles, allies herself with two other reincarnated witches to plan James' death, as he proves to be a descendant of the man responsible for the witches' fate.

Little Witches
(1996) A group of girls at a Catholic boarding school get mixed up in the occult.

Deathwatch
(2002) In the middle of World War I, nine British soldiers caught behind enemy lines seek refuge in a complex network of German trenches. What they soon discover is that they aren't alone - and it isn't a German soldier that's hunting them down.

Secret Screams (aka Grave Secrets)
(1989) A woman tormented by ghostly apparitions and a professor of psychic phenomena investigate other-worldly disturbances and unlock the secret of a malevolent force reaching out for vengeance from beyond the grave.

Wicked Little Things
(2006) Karen, Sarah, and Emma Tunney are all moving to a small town in Pennsylvania where, unknown to them, in 1913, a horrid mine accident trapped dozens of children alive, underground. But there's a problem. They're still alive.

Lake Dead
(2007)  Three sisters and a group of their friends take a trip to the home of the recently deceased grandfather -- who died a particularly grisly death -- to learn more about the promise of an inheritance, only to encounter a family of psychos who have taken up residence in the old man's cabin.

April Fool's Day
(1986) A group of nine college students staying at a friend's remote island mansion begin to fall victim to an unseen murderer over the April Fool's day
weekend.

Ravenous
(1999)  Captain John Boyd's promotion stations him at a fort where a rescued man tells a disturbing tale of cannibalism.

My son recommended this one that is SciFi and stylish with a 70s feel -

Beyond the Black Rainbow
(2010) Despite being under heavy sedation, a young woman tries to make her way out of the Arboria Institute, a secluded, quasifuturistic commune.
