Beautiful abandoned places in Appalachia.

Saw some beautiful places like Sandstone Falls

 

Saw my family and went into the woods in a preserve I believe to be very squatchy and had some interesting things happen - found tons of X symbols everywhere fashioned from sticks and limbs and arches. We also heard some knocks and something making a deep resonating hum note and something throwing rocks at us as we sat at the lake side. 

 

We got stuck going down a scary one lane mountain road in the dark and then the next night took the aerial tram down to a creekside restaurant and it broke down. We watched them fix it by poking it with a stick after it had sparked and nearly come off the cable. Then, they had us women ride it up first in pitch dark. 

I will have a ton more to report when we hit more ghost towns and Point Pleasant, Moundsville, Gettysburg, well, you get the idea. I have some interesting things to report back.
