I adore this HGTV show, "You Live In a What?" It takes you on awesome tours of homes that people converted from prior buildings that were never meant to be a home. I have always had a dream of having an old school or church, missile silo or barn for a home.
Here's just some of the original building purposes now turned into homes:
Factory
Church
Grain Bin
Radio Station
Ferry
Train Depot
Warehouse
Schoolhouse
Missile Silo
Slaughterhouse
Hmm...wondering what's available in real estate?

A former Red Cross building?
Atlas Missile Site?
Warehouse?
I've always wanted to convert a neo-gothic church, one that has arches and crenulations.

ReplyDeleteI love it when people re-purpose things and places.
