The Son Doong Cave was discovered in Vietnam. Explorers set out to check out what is the largest cave so far found upon the earth. It is 2.7 miles long and 460 feet high--the largest passage found.
Let's just hope as they search further into the unknown ecosystem, it doesn't go something like this -
