Ah, the joys of the coming season; the anticipation of hot cider, candy corn, carving pumpkins and all your little ones dressed up as sluts and slashers....
Michael Myers For your future serial killer in training.
Kiss star. Comes complete with a stint in rehab and herpes.
Girl Devil. Why do I get the feeling that if she continues on this path and a little anorexia, she will be reusing this costume at a frat party in 8 years?
Shock treatment patient Apparently the lobotomy patient costume was sold out this year.
Tween Pilot If this is the pilot costume for a 10-12 year old girl, what do the flight attendants wear?

Yeah, I have 3 nieces (the oldest being 12) and their parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles all know how hard it is to find costumes for girls that are meant to be proto-slutty. It's like it goes from cutesy baby stuff to pedolust in the span of a year. I've blogged about women's H'ween costumes before. Their are options, but you have to dig for them.
ReplyDeleteYes, those costumes are questionable for kids. Why are kids in such a hurry to grow on? Don't they know about taxes and other heinous adult responsibilities?
ReplyDeleteSluts and slashers... LOL!
ReplyDeleteI have actually seen worse ones in the sexy preteen category then those. it's insane!
ReplyDeleteI just came across this post - and I half felt like a loser a parent, and then of course had to chuckle because my lil guy (9) TrickRTreated as Michael Myers this past Halloween 2013 :P I was a little skeptical on letting him waltz around like that, but he was STUCK on doing so - so, I gave in. I have to admit, I was a bit excited at the same time because he's just now starting to get over his fear of such characters - and I am a big horror film freak :)
ReplyDeleteSo, to each their own I guess... As messed up of a character as Michael Myers is - he's fake - and my son gets that.
I would not let my daughter dress like a 2 cent hooker though lol
Not happenin!
Lovin this blog btw :)
Cheers! Happy New Year!
XO,
Chris
