Anthony Spicer of Cincinnati, Ohio explained to police that he was looking for ghosts when he was caught cutting copper pipes and stealing them. The straight-faced judge, Norbert Nadel asked him "Did the ghosts cut the pipes?" Spicer had trouble answering that question.
Note: We might use this incident to recall that, if you want to REALLY ghost hunt, you have to be cautious about being caught in abandoned buildings, as police will arrest. Even with lots of meters and cameras, they have no way of knowing what you are doing to a building. You will have a better opportunity to hunt in a haunted B&B, on a ghost tour, or taking ghost hunting classes at your local parks department or library.
