One thing I know about new-age healing is that belief has an amazing power. People who believe in prayer, believe in crystals, belief in hands-on healers, release their own chemicals in their bodies to do that which they seek. Some people can use meditation, others aggressive exercise, and for some, sex. However you find your healing, if there is belief-there is response.
Some time, try one of these new-age techniques I'll be discussing in this series and leave yourself open. You will be shocked at your body's response and one good response and you can develop belief. Belief is really a way of making the inner caretaker release the necessary anxieties, produce the proper chemicals and let go long enough to heal without cortisol flooding the bloodstream.
Color healing is a new-age practice. Let's look at colors and that they supposedly do if you surround yourself with them, even eating things of these colors and staring at the color while meditating and even going so as decorating with it and wearing it:
RED: Brings warmth, energy and stimulation, therefore good for energy, fatigue, colds, chilly and passive people. Red energizes heart and blood circulation, it builds up the blood and heightens a low blood pressure. Energizes all organs and the senses hearing, smell, taste, vision and touch. Increases sexual desire and activity. Stimulates ovulation and menstruation. Never treat cancer with red, because this color will stimulate cell growth! Red links with and stimulates the root chakra, at the base of the spine, causing the adrenal glands to release adrenalin. This results in greater strength. Red causes hemoglobin to multiply, thus increasing energy and raising body temperature. It is excellent for anemia and blood-related conditions. It loosens, opens up clogs, releases stiffness and constrictions. It is excellent for areas that have become stiffened or constricted. Me? I love orange and yellow, don't like blue.
Each one of these colors represents one of your Chakras (Energy Centers).ReplyDelete
As a 5th Generation Reiki Master, we use these colors in order to neutralize and balance the energy of that Chakra. It's amazing how close all of your color explanations are.
I really agree with the new age healings... and using your own energy to fix yourself.
Hey Kat; I wanted to study Reiki and I took courses, but the instructors told me that my mind energy is so strong that I'd never learn to handle my power. The funny thing is that I've done hands on healing for years and I have no trouble using it accurately and well. I do have a huge amount of kinetic energy, but I also know how to use it without draining myself. I know some people end up with weakness, illness and such from healing people, but I have unlimited energy it would seem. Healing actually make me feel better, probably because I'm finding a place to put my energy excess. Haha.ReplyDelete
Very interesting...and the descriptions seem to fit!ReplyDelete
I am going to remember this! Thank you!!ReplyDelete
Here's a guy who knew all about colors: Ken Nordine!ReplyDelete
