Horror Movie Remakes in the Works

As always, Hollywood and even independents are shooting more remakes out their asses. Some look promising and I think might make a good remake. Others make me cringe. Here's how I see it:

The Promising Ones

An American Werewolf in London (They better seriously do this right with no CGI)
Flatliners (I liked the original but it wasn't enough about the afterlife and too much like a soap opera)
Maximum Overdrive (I love this movie-but they better get that same feeling from a remake)
Poltergeist (I normally wouldn't put a classic in here, but I wouldn't mind seeing what they can do with it and enough time has passed from the original.)
The Birds (I've dreamed of a good remake, but I can bet you that it's going to be total CGI)
The Entity (I always felt this was just a little off--would like to see someone else take it and run)

The Not-So-Promising Ones

American Psycho (Sorry, there is only one version with Christian Bale--end of story)
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (I'm not sure why this was made in the first place)
Carrie (how many remakes? There is only one Sissy Spacek and only one 1970s time period)
It (Once again, only one Pennywise--one Tim Curry)
Rosemary's Baby (Nope, it really fit the time period nicely).

  1. ...don't fix it!

(Sorry Adsila I had to, because this was my first thought, as well.)

  2. I wish they would just get imaginations and come up with new movies already! What ever happened to creative minds??! Makes me angry and sad at the same time.
