Eat of the Flesh, Drink of the Blood

There is an intriguing article about the role of religion and zombie culture and how the two are linked. After all, the correlation about Jesus rising from the dead and Christians eating his flesh and drinking his blood are pretty zombie concepts. See how this talented writer brings it together. Of course, in the case of toteism in religion, it's the belief that you can bring the spirit of a being into you when you consume it. In the case of zombies, however, it's really all about the nourishment. It is an interesting debate, however, and has drawn in lots of curious people. In fact, at the zombie walk, there was in fact a Jesus zombie among the thousands of hobblers on the downtown street.
