Honestly, a movie with a bunch of those creepy costumed kids in it would be so freaking scary, or even an adult male who grew up back then who still wears his kid mask.
I really want to collect vintage masks. I was at an abandoned trailer park and found one from the 50s/60s that was uber creepy. There was a blogger I knew who collected masks, so I mailed it to him. You'd think it was Christmas. He was thrilled. They really should-reissue these masks but then work them down to be kind of worn out and old looking. What a freaky Halloween that would be with make-shift homemade costumes.
Love your idea...retro Halloween costumes should be brought back. Recently I've seen some new takes on retro decorations and they are pretty good. TFS, those kids are really scary what's even worse though is no one had a smile...OMG, it's Halloween! Only the BEST TIME OF YEAR!!!
Some of those are adorable and some of them are really creepy.
