This'll Put Your St. Patty's Misery in Perspective

Hey, it could feel worse. Toughen up! Just say, "I've had worse, come on you pansy!"

  1. My favorite scene is the peasant berating King Arthur in the field-"I'm being repressed! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!" If you disagree I shall say "Nee" at you..

  2. Hahaha! I had to put this up because one of my buddies wants to go to a huge rave in the desert that I told him about and he wants me to go with him and go into the thunderdome they're erecting. I told him it would turn out like that black knight.

  3. Jeez, I didn't get much past the part about a thunderdome, although there are bands and a burning effigy which is on my list of things I must do at some point in life--go to a burning man ceremony. I'm half tempted. The ironic thing is they're holding it in a town up in the mountains that is filled with Mormons. They won't know what hit them.

  4. Do it, and post the pics. Drop a tab for me, too.

  5. Hee hee. You know, I didn't get to go away to college--lots of sacrifices for my widowed mom. At 16, I started dated my future ex who was uptight and no fun. I kind of think it'd be fun to do something insane like this and video of it would be cool, but what would be even cooler is coming up with the appropriate leather outfit and gear for the role.

  6. I read that they were pretty nervous about keeping this scene in.

  7. It is funny scene, amid the gratuitous violence his complete refusal to admit the defeat.

  8. Can't go wrong with classic Python.

  9. Seriously, you guys. I couldn't stop thinking of this scene every time I'm up against life's worst arrows and daggers. "I am the black knight, we do not give up!"

  10. I used to have a stumpy bobblehead of the black knight on my desk at work, with the placard of "Meh, could be worse..." It was my motivational avatar for a very long time.

My boss had a very bad week, so I gave it to him. I told him he needed it more than I did. I'm not working there anymore but whenever I email him about my Idahoan woes, he sends me a picture of Blackie and says "remember...."

Moar Monty Python! I did the Llamas last week, and now this. Who's next? I'm hoping for the Dead Parrot sketch, or the Ministry of Silly Walks.
