Syfy Is Bringing It On and So Shall I!

Hey, remember these shots? It's getting to be that time of the year again when Syfy treats us with a lineup of new shows! In fact, next week there's a Q&A with Ben from FoF and you know I'm gonna be in on that.

GH started its new season but you won't hear me crowing about it. Still, there are folks who are in the habit, so it's worth mentioning there's new episodes now.

On St. Patty's Day, Thursday, you will see my first post for the season premiere of "Destination Truth" called Josh Gates Journals. I will do it every week he has a new episode. Expect a hilarious picture with that one and ridiculous journal entries resembling a tween's childish fascination with Beiber. The new night for DT is Tuesdays starting the 22nd which ironically is also the night of Marcel's Quantum Kitchen on Syfy. Expect me to review that on Wednesdays.

Then, of course, "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" begins its second season just 10 days from now. They will be riding alongside GH which means I will probably actually watch GH again while waiting for FoF. Sly programmers trying to give GH some followers again? Expect my tank top shot (just shot some new ones) and review of the Wednesday episode on Thursdays.

Syfy RECAP:
This St. Patty's Day: 4-hour live Destination Truth looking for Banshees in Ireland.
Tuesday nights: Destination Truth and Marcel's Kitchen. Expect my Josh Gates Journal post this day.
Wednesday: Expect review of Marcel's Quantum Kitchen from the night before and reminder of tonight's GH and FoF.
Thursday: Tank top shot day and review of FoF.

So, Syfy is making an effort to keep us from going mind numb. Now, if they would just let the viewers design the next show!

  1. I'm looking forward to the new series of fact or faked... I love the concept of this show - and not just the pic lol

Yeah. Ben has impressed me. He's sharp and curious and funny. I'd like to see him take the reins of the show like Josh did with Destination Truth because he would make it into a much more refined beast.

  3. for some reason, whenever a new season of paranormal entertainment premieres it's like when Subway releases a new sandwich, same stuff slightly rejiggled but it all tastes new.

Yeah. I'm hoping it's just "fresh" this time around and not "stale."

  5. If I am ever in a house with cable, I WILL be watching the Quantum Kitchen.. or at least, re-runs.

Nowadays, a lot of these shows can be found online and especially older episodes of Destination Truth and Ghost Hunters and such they put on Syfy channel and other places. You poor dear. I kind of know how you feel because I don't have digital cable and so I don't get National Geographic and they have Beast Hunter which is a show I've been waiting for someone to come up with forever. I'll be stalking episodes online too.

  7. Ben Hansen is next Fox Mulder, but with even less charisma.

But so much more handsome and intelligent, actually.

  11. I've been in the jungle for a while, so if this sounds dumb, just bear with me. But didn't this show start out with Jonathan Frakes as the host? What happened to him?

  12. Really? You like the shirt? Well, it'll be showing up on Wednesdays starting the 23rd in lots of various poses and props.

Aaron, I know what you mean. That wasn't this show, but he did have a short-lived series on SciFi, I do believe. This one looks at viral videos of supposed paranormal stuff you find online, like bigfoot, ghosts and UFOs and then the team goes out and interviews people on the site and tries to recreate it to see if the people either misinterpreted something or hoaxed it. It's a cool premise. I'm hoping this season they perfect it.

  15. Between the facts and faked it is
a real comfort zone. At least we can think about it! Great post!

  16. I looked at the Fact or Faked pages and saw "Fact or Faked Tools." I thought, MAN thats a little harsh, until I noticed that the link went to some tools that they allegedly use.

Poor Jael, she is the gift that keeps on giving. I laughed when she said in the clip it could be a hoax. Poor thing ...

I say feed them all to the sharktopus!!!

If you had to dilute yourself for the masses, you may not resemble your true self. I suspect it's such when you sell your soul to a network. I also think that the team is just too freaking pretty, young and dull. I'd like to mix it up with some truly field experienced over a lengthy lifetime folks who also might be rough around the edges and not human-interaction friendly. I still feel like I'm taking a jaunt with a college theater arts team making a project to get an A and win their diploma. In other words, the team could really use us!

  18. Yeah, I did a little research and whaddaya know, Jael de Pardo in doing this show now. More of a reason to watch!

She's the weak link in the show, but I can get why men might perk up to have an attractive woman on it. If you can catch episodes online or wherever you are, you'll want to see the mermaid episode. They made her swim in a bikini and mermaid tail.
