Great clip... Its good to know that even without modern ghostbusting technology, steam-age victorians were still able to follow this noble profession. :p
Ghost monkeys....I, for one, am loving it. The gear they create from found material is amazing. Since your last steam punk post, I have my daughter completley into steam punk. Love ya, Kid, and love this post. ps - word verification was 'hants' how 'bout that!?!
MM; Steampunk rule! I'm working on a Halloween costume where I take a large watch and take the back off of it, turn it around and make it into a stickpin in my Victorian costume with a chain hanging on it like a pocketwatch bob with its guts showing. I have some welding goggles I'll use but maybe bejewel them. When I get it together, expect me to model it for the blog this season!
Thanks Barry. I adore Steampunk and I was crazy about Wild Wild West and I remember going through a phase of Victorian clothing and keeping my skin as white as I could and piling my curls atop my head. I'm thrilled to see it making its comeback this way and with the western feel to it. I am going to town with costuming! That video is wicked--gets me into the mood!
Yeah, gaslighting would look totally awesome. If I had my say 100% on how to decorate the house, I'd do it. Well, except for the pesky thing of out-of-control energy bills... and the very real risk your light may explode and kill you...
Thanks for sharing. I adore steampunk! I wish I could get away with wearing the style everyday, everywhere!! For now I will just continue to create my steampunk jewelry for my Etsy shop...even the mellowly dressed can look "appropriate" with a nice steampunk pin or pendant...Right??
Who you gunna call?

Oh yes, those pesky ghosts are probably better detected with those rigged instruments than the crap we use today.

I love steampunk. I guess it comes from my love of history and scifi.

ReplyDeleteI think we should rig ourselves up like that the next time we roll into Tombstone and just walk down the middle of the street like that!
Maybe you can add some steampunk lighting to your new place.
