“Until the Day You Die”
Ya’all know by now that I like the steampunk style that caught fire and has influenced the goth crowd away from black lipstick and piercings and into something more sexy—the concept of turn-of-the-century early 1900s technology of the steam engine era punked out with today’s materials into a Victorian era meets Munsters kind of way. When I heard this song, I got all excited. This is new and fresh and totally in keeping with the steampunk movement. I'm a total geek for costumes and role-playing and so this really turns me on. I thought ya'all might kind of like enjoy something different.
I think you have turned me onto Steampunk. I like it.

Mary,
ReplyDeleteIt's really sexy. There's a lot of great sites about it. I would love to do a steampunk zombie for a zombie walk...now that's sexy!

ReplyDeleteBarry, sweetie, you sure know your bizarre videos. I'm going to have to pick your brain some time for interesting new stuff instead of insane middle-aged women wiggling their butts in belly dancing scarves.
ReplyDeleteOK, So I wanted to leave a link to the YouTube video of Jill Tracy's "Evil Night Together" for you but when I went to get it I stumbled on a BELLYDANCE to her song!!!
ReplyDeleteHow bizarre or actually it's not surprising at all I guess! HA! So I think you will LOVE this! -

ReplyDeleteThat was soooo awesome! Now, I gotta get to goal and do a video like that... That was really hot!
Yeah, my mom introduced me to Steampunk a while back. One of the things I do when I'm bored is create horror characters as mascots or "icons" for possible themes for my Halloween display. For a while now, I've been developing a Steampunk/horror character for a while now. I call him "Gasser" and, like his name suggests, he would wear a gas mask, along with a top hat, leather coat, and more steampunk/old-school Gothic accessories. I personally think it make a great would Halloween costume. One of these days :)

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh-that'd be wicked. I went to a mining town and got my son an old miner's mask from long ago. It is so retro and steampunk. I get all excited whenever I see steampunk cause it's goth, but then it's romantic and mechanical...great mix!
