Since ya’all spurred me on last October to do more short story writing, I’ve been sending out short stories pretty regularly with about half of them making it onto publication. I’m in two contests right now; one is a werewolf one and one is a zombie one. They are very short stories, but you might enjoy seeing what’s up with my writing lately. Of course, I’m still working on all my longer works too.

They are showing my entry to the “Resurrection” themed horror contest entitled "Nocturnal Appetite" You probably know from last October, I always do twists on my short stories; that has not changed.
I also have this older entry called "Wolves at the Door" I’m awaiting the results on which is a werewolf short that has a twist at the end.

ReplyDeleteI gotta say that writing shorts is too fun cause I get to do those killer little twists no one sees coming and those are my fav's. Now, on to finishing the novella... I've also decided I'd like to take on the Haunted Formula in book form. Hey Julie, you feeling ambitious? I'm trying to find a partner for that one because it just takes so much documentation. Yikes!

ReplyDeleteI totally get ya. I work from home, but I admit that during my shift, I have my laptop running nearby to stay up to date on stuff. It can be highly distracting. Enjoy the stories later on.
