Upcoming Supernatural-themed Movies

"After.Life" Starring Liam Neesom and Christina Ricci. Release: Spring 2010. A young woman caught between life and death... and a funeral director who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but might just be intent on burying her alive.

"Altitude" Release 2010 (in post production now). Lost in a mysterious cloudbank, a rookie pilot and her four teenage friends must contend with a freak mechanical failure that first sends their small plane climbing to an impossible height, and then plummeting through endless mist. After regaining control, the survivors are confronted with a horrifying realization - the very ground beneath them has vanished and a malevolent force lurking in the clouds wants them dead.

"Exorcismus" 2010 (in production). Fear is taking over the residents of the High Cross housing estate. Recently, ominous things have been inexplicably taking place...and there are rumors. The Hawkins are desperate, medical tests have ruled out any illness, and yet their 15 year old daughter Suzy is getting worse every day. Something is consuming her. Father Ellis visits the Hawkins' every day to see Suzy. Despite his best attempts at discretion, he can't hide his concern. What's more, he too is scared. What goes on in Father Ellis' hypnosis sessions? In order to find out, Suzy sets up a hidden camera in the room.

"The Invited" 2010 (awaiting release). A young married couple who are pregnant with their first child moves into their turn-of-the-century home where they discover that a great evil has resided there for nearly a century, unleashed by a previous occupant.

  1. They all sound pretty good. I would flip out being stuck in a plane with no where to land and a nasty fog trying to kill you.....creepy!

  2. Yeah, I'm not at all good with planes and it probably doesn't help that I've had over a dozen plane crash dreams that came true, so basically, I've been in over a dozen plane crashes and I know how it all goes down on board.

  3. Interesting that Neesom is appearing in that movie in the aftermath of his wife's death. It would be interesting to know if he consciously chose the role after her passing, or did so unconsciously prior to her death. - Rob

    word verification: oraca (oracle)

  4. Rob;
    I can't imagine it wouldn't be a dark focus for him and perhaps a comfort to consider her everlasting existence. I'm glad he's back into acting. I like him. He's not prolific but he is sort of like everyman. I like him. The dialect ain't so bad either! I love when the word verification is something mysterious.

  5. OOOO! Altitude and Exorcismus both stood out to me. (Altitude kind of sounded like the Mist combined with Langoliers. Liked both stories, and really their respective movies were decent. Hope Altitude is either as good as them or exceeds them!) Thanks for the FYI.
