I'd love input on what to serve as a Halloween Punch served in a carved out pumpkin (with alcohol).
Here's what I'm considering:
Pumpkin Punch: Apple Cider, ginger ale, rum, chunks of pumpkin floating on surface
Apple Pie Punch: apple cider, spiced rum, cinnamon Schnapps, slices of apple with cloves spiked in them floating on top
Hard Cider Punch: Hot water, sugar, fresh ginger finely grated, cloves, cinnamon, grated nutmeg, hard cider, apple jack, brandy, floating apple slices.
Jack O'Lantern: Hennessy VSOP Cognac, orange juice, ginger ale, Grand Marnier, decorated with an orange wheel.
If anyone has another punch idea for the party, I'd sure love to hear it. I had dreamed of using a licorice stick as a straw in the drinks, but I'm not sure it'll match well with some of the drinks. If you can think of something that would go with it that feels rather autumn-y in flavor, I've love to hear it.
