I was mesmerized when I walked past the TV someone had left on and it was showing an episode of the new series “That’s Impossible.” It was about death rays and energy weapons. It’s great to have a show that treats us with some intelligence with some insight into advancements and things we never knew were going on behind the scenes in technology.
It’s narrated by “Star Trek: Next Generation’s” actor Jonathan Frakes (Captain Picard’s right-hand man). It's listed being on Tuesdays at 10 pm. YouTube has a lot of video of the show--it's really quite amazingly exciting to watch!
pretty cool! I haven't catched an episode yet, thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteStuff like this makes me wish I still had cable! Maybe folks will record it for me-I have long been convinced the the "black budget" military projects are 20 to 30 years ahead of what "we" have-and if you think about some not all-haha (still waiting for my flying car:) of the advances that could be pretty damn scary in the wrong hands-but could perhaps work miracles in the right hands-I guess tech will always be a double-edged sword that way-thanks so very much for the heads up and best as always!!

ReplyDeleteHistory channel website says they have the show on video. You might check it out. Most shows you can find online to watch nowadays. Yahoo Internet! YouTube has the episodes broken down into parts, so you can do a search on there for "That's Impossible" show and it'll give you lots of pieces and some whole episodes in parts. I think it's exactly your kind of show. I was amazed when they talked on one episode about HAARP in Alaska (look that up online, very weird, in fact, their site seems extremely secretive), and he talked about Tesla (my favorite dude of all time!)
i'm getting hooked on history channel & discovery chn!!

ReplyDeleteI have to admit, those are usually the two channels I check first, but I'm been really annoyed with the stupid ice road truckers and crab fishermen things. Jeez!

ReplyDeleteI like that they have the shows, but it drives me nuts that almost every time I turn it on, they're replaying them in marathons. That gets old real quick. I love when out of the blue History Channel does something like a marathon of UFO Hunters or Bigfoot documentaries and stuff. They used to do it more often and now they're so rare.
