My Horror Video

I suggest you make this full screen when you watch this. This is how I saw the autumn farm celebration at night--this is if it were a horror movie... It begins like "Children of the Corn," goes into a zombie movie and then ends with a "Jeepers Creepers" feeling scene. Hope it gets you into the mood.

  1. We were lucky that the clouds were surrounding the moon that night. It lended to the creepiness of the video along with the music you added. Very good little sis...

  2. "Hope it gets me in the mood." Just what are you suggesting? I kid. Love the backlit shot at the end. Nicely done.

Yeah, well, if your moods tend to run kinky, it worked. I have to admit in the dark, the farm took on a whole new look and I remembered some the creepy things I love about the country at nighttime. It was a perfect setting to inspire me.

  4. One of the down sides in Texas. The corn is all harvested, at least in south Texas. Looks fun. Halloweenie

Yeah, this farm isn't that much of a working farm as a local place to pick peaches, go to festivals and buy jams. It makes all its bread and butter in the autumn time. Hey, if you get a chance enjoy the pajama ghost hunt in the previous post. I think that will give you a good chuckle.

  6. Looks creepy indeed. In such places it's always good to have at least a bit of light.

I admit as we took the hayride past the peach orchards and they were black as the darkest night within them and only the hazy little moon above, I kept seeing myself in a victorian white nightgown and bare feet racing through the trees like a ghostly wraith. I used to do that as a kid in an area of our property called the thicket where the sour cherry orchard was. It was exhilarating to be a ghostly figure in the chill night air.

  10. Actually, I was taking tons of short scenes with my flipcam all day, but when I lined them up in the queue and saw the nighttime ones, they looked like horror movies, so I put them together into a film. It really caught the tone of the autumn carnival when it turns to nighttime.

  11. Wow, that was beautiful. It was creepy, haunting, and summed up a rural Hallowe'en like it should be. Hope you had fun doing it!

It was a freaking blast! I got to coo at all the babies giggling as they pet the critters and listen to the people screaming on the rickety rollercoaster and then when night came--the whole tone changed.
