Haunted Concord Covered Bridge: Cobb County, GA

As I am getting to know Georgia, I am absolutely loving the cryptids, local lore, and history. Here's an interesting one I must test out soon - Concord covered bridge.

Ghosts, Civil War restless soldiers, crybaby bridge, witch's graveyard, devil's land?

It was said a few children in the 1800s died near the bridge and henceforth it has had a crybaby bridge. Nearly every state has a crybaby bridge, a scenario where you hear ghostly children near the landmark of their deaths.

A nearby mill saw the death of a young boy within the machinery.

Here's my favorite of the southern lore: If you stop on the bridge, turn off your lights, and leave a snickers bar on the roof, you will hear scampering feet and the candy bar will be taken by the ghostly children.

It is said a witch was executed and buried in a nearby graveyard tht has come to be known as the devil's cemetery.

As well, numerous Civil War era events occurred along the creek, creating even more layers to the hauntings.

As I am settling into life in Georgia, I expect to regularly hit the road and head out to some intense Bigfoot locations, explore the history, do some gold panning, and chase the hauntings wherever they may show themselves.
