Magnetic anomalies, oh my!
You know, the more they study the phenomenon, the more I realize, it isn't so much as this location as what they are realizing about our natural world!
Sky Elements was brought onto the ranch for an amazing experiment. Although Brandon was sick as a dog, they stayed with their plans.
They planned the drones up to a legal level never allowed before at 4000 ft. Brandon was sick, but sat out alone, studying the frequencies. The 1.6 GHz signal went off at the same time drones lost communication at the 800 ft mark. When the communication came back at 1000 ft, they realize the 750 ft to 1000 ft level, once again, showed some electromagnetic issues.
The FPV drone was being "pushed" aside. The drones, in general, were going at different elevations. Then, drones began falling wildly. Something above 3000 feet made them all drop crazily.
They decided to send 4 drones up to see if they could make the 4000 ft goal. The drones came down again after 3000 ft. As Erik said, they seemed like they had a kill command at a certain altitude.
Studying the footage, they realized that the FPV drone looked like it was pushed aside, and the others followed an fell. Instead of having a strange kill switch, the drones appeared to be pushed aside and lost data and then just fell.
The team thought Doppler radar might shed more light on that area and what is going on.
The meteorology researchers met with the team to deploy Dopper radar on wheels and learn more! Usually radar bounces off rain drops. They sent hundreds of GPS deployed aluminum bottles and use those to see what is going on above the triangle.
They tested the doppler first by sending up rockets to see how they pick them up. They saw the rocket on the radar moving fast. They also picked up something else moving fast that was elongated and was NOT the rocket that moved. The team on the ground could see nothing there as it showed up on doppler.
They sent Cameron in the helicopter to drop the bottles and check the doppler. They chose 2500 feet to see what the bottles do when they hit the top of the bubble. There was no wind and expectations were bottles would drop straight.
Thomas noted that some falling above the bubble seemed to move and fall on the boundary of the bubble. None of the 100 bottles dropped landed in the triangle!
Next, they went to 3500 feet and dropped bottles from the helicopter because that was a zone of interest.
The bottles showed up on doppler, but they were falling to the south of the triangle.
Still, none of about 200 bottles landed in triangle.
The mystery deepens!
