Yucca Man - Mojave Bigfoot?

There are well known reports of Bigfoot wandering the American Northwest, the Sierras, the Rockies, the Mississippi River corridor and even Florida and the Northeast, but there are Bigfoot reported in deserts too. The assumptions that hair-covered humans would not live there is wrong. We know they are resistant to cold, why not heat? And, if Native Americans could live in such conditions, then surely these denizens of the wild could, too.

The Joshua Tree Monument Park and Twenty-Nine Palms areas in the California desert has long had reports of people encountering a tall hairy man, described as a Bigfoot-type figure.

In the early 70s, a man was supposedly being a guard officer at a facility in the Twenty-Nine Palms area. He saw something big emerge from the desert and poised his gun, warning it off. Instead of stopping, it stormed towards him and the man saw that it was a large hairy man. He was so shocked he didn't react and the hairy man knocked him unconscious. It was said that when they found him and he awakened, he was confused, upset, and his gun was nearly bent in half. (MORE)

Apparently, for some time, park employees and visitors alike have caught a glimpse of the Yucca Man (Men?) It was reported that in the last 70s, one Bigfoot that was 12-feet tall made it just south of Palm Springs and was seen by citizens.

Source: In 1988 a couple of service men from Twenty-Nine Palms were returning home from a day of fun in the sun at Big Bear Lake at about 9:00 p.m. when they encountered a creature that the locals call the "Cement Monster", due to the fact that it is said to live near an old cement factory in Lucerne Valley.

As the two men approached the old factory, a large upright running creature moved across the road in front of their car. As was the case 9 years earlier in Desert Hot Springs the animal in question was so large that the men could only see it’s lower half.

In disbelief the two men just looked at each other for a moment before one of them exclaimed "What the Hell was that?" The other replied, "That was the Cement Monster, after him!" The driver hit the brakes while the other reached for a gun that was in the glove box. The two adrenaline filed men searched up and down the road and around the cement factory, but never found any sign of the creature.

The pair came to the conclusion that they had seen some form of prehistoric man and returned to their journey home.

It is not surprising to me, as this part of California was once filled with water and the Death Valley to Western Nevada area where the red-haired giants were reported. Not far from this location are ancient Intaglios, sort of like Nazca lines that show a tall man -

In Arizona we have had reports of a Bigfoot in the area of Gila Bend, not far from the river, but nothing but open desert around it. These lands here were once filled with great lakes. If a population of giants diminished as the water dried up, many learned where to go, just like the Native American people who lived these lands and thrived.

Is there a Yucca Man? Sure. And he wouldn't walk alone. Surely, it's more like Yucca People.
