Best Autumn Drives For Fall Foliage

Skyline Drive, Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia

America has some great roadways for viewing the peak colors. Let's take a look at some -

Skyline Drive - Blue Ridge Mountains - Shenandoah River area, Virginia
Check the webcam for best colors

This is considered one of the most scenic fall drives in America.
When I was a kid we would enter in Front Royal (one of my favorite towns) and head south to mom's people in West Virginia.
My nose was glued to the window the whole way.

Scenic Route 100 byway Vermont

The Green Mountain Byway runs from Waterbury on Route 100 north to Stowe and includes portions of Routes 100 and 108 farther north. The Killington Region's stretch of the Scenic Route 100 Byway runs from Ludlow north to Pittsfield.

Olympic Peninsula Loop Drive, Washington

LINK: “Seattle is the starting point for this 350-mile drive, which takes visitors from the lowlands, through forests, past lakes, rivers and the ocean, and up to Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent. With so many different backdrops and vantage points, it’s no surprise that leaf-lovers flock to the Olympic Peninsula every fall. The 320-plus-mile drive circling the Olympic National Park and forest takes a full eight hours if driven straight through, so it’s best to take a few days to take in the varying sites.”
