Blog Entry Saturday: Scariest Spaces I've Been

As Halloween draws near, I can't help thinking about things that give me shivers. I figured today I'd focus on sharing the scariest spaces I've been. Some may not seem scary, but all it takes to make a space scary for a person is an uneasy feeling in the gut.

unfinished basements

stale, dank, dark, scampering, moldy, echoing, crumbling, dripping, wet, chilly....

caves

cold, damp, dripping, black, tight, rough, squeaking, fluttering, flapping, screeching, shifting....

forgotten cemeteries

silent, overgrown, rotting, hopeless, crumbling, lonely, forgotten....

glass elevators

dizzying, dropping, rising, vulnerable, exposed, falling, trapped....

winding mountain roads

vertigo, spinning, dropping, falling, crashing, anticipating, crawling....

dense crowds

crushing, suffocating, noisy, sweaty, roaring, pressing....

operating room

cold, beeping, blinding, terrifying, helpless....

Point Pleasant, WV
(hike to TNT bunkers)

isolated, stalked, silent, still, followed, cornered, helpless....
