Sonoita Wine Trail by Julie Ferguson

You likely see a lot of Julie Ferguson on my blog and my Facebook because Julie and I have co-authored a lot of books, taken a lot of road trips, investigated a lot of haunted sites, and even enjoyed girlfriend getaways.

Julie Ferguson has an Etsy shop (Girlfriend Keepsakes) devoted to the concept of girlfriends getting away on retreats. She has just released a new book about trekking to Sonoita Arizona's Wine Country. She also has a blog Echoes of the Southwest that covers everything from the weird and unusual to the downright spooky in the desert southwest.

Sonoita Wine Trail

Arizona has several vineyards and wine tasting rooms scattered around the state. South of Tucson on Highway 83 is where you will find the Sonoita Wine Trail. This wine trail includes the towns of Sonoita, Elgin, Patagonia, Tubac, and even Tombstone. In this book I cover all the towns, vineyards, and places to stay, shop or dine along with historic sites nearby each town.

Just a few miles on Highway 83, the scenery will change. It moves from a desert look with cacti, to rolling grassy hills. You feel like you were transported to another corner of the world. The Sonoita Wine Trail is the perfect place to getaway, relax, and escape your everyday life.
The book is available in paperback and on Kindle. What a great holiday gift!
